Last start 4YO+ Mares Group 2 Flemington sat back 5th inside behind leader and was then held up badly in straight and basically taken out of the race. Ran 10th late beaten 4.4L and was actually running through the line late. Race rated highly and sets her up perfectly staying at 1400m. B Shinn needs to get some cover early on map and she will explode late.
R7 n15 GILDED WATER Positive early from draw to be on speed. 3rd up off 14 days drops 4.5kg and well suited out to 2500m (+500m). Last start when 2nd up out to 2000m Caulfield BM84 on a firm track with a +6m rail. Drew wider crossed to sit 3rd on a very fast tempo and had perfect run from there winning effortlessly by 2L and eased down late. Race rated highly and he had a lap on those horses. Ready now for Group 3 class with 54kg and J Kah will suit him.
R8 n4 VIA SISTINA Forward inside behind lead group. 3d up off 21 days and well suited out to 2000m (+400m). Last start when 2nd up Group 1 Flemington sat 4th in 1×1 3L off leader on a crawl speed tempo and had zero hope from there but her L600m figure was excellent. The ride was queried by stewards – it was a dumb one. Now out to 2000m and she is clearly Australia’s best horse at this distance. Keen she strikes back today.
R10 n9 MEDIA WORLD Positive early from draw to be on speed. 2nd up off 21 days rises 2.5kg and suited out to 1400m (+200m). Last start resumed off 101-day spell 4YO+ Group 2 Flemington went forward early and sat 2nd on a crazy fast tempo and was very brave late running 3rd to Arkansaw Kid who had a much better run in behind with cover and a race fitness advantage. Well-bred talented 4YO proven out to 1400m who will control this race up on speed.

R4 n10 PHAROAHS PROPHECY Positive early on speed. 4th up off 59 days and won recent 1000m trial Sun Coast Sept 16. He led and controlled there in trial and looked great. Last start BM68 Doomben 1640m drew outside at a tough start for poorly drawn horses. Crossed early on a fast tempo and was run down late but well beaten 2.3L by Make A Call at $1.40. Suited today off his trial and short break and will be forward on the map for D Moor. Decent horse for a Class 2 race.
R7 n15 SYNERGY IN MOTION Forward inside on map behind lead group. 2nd up off 17 days drops 2.5kg and suited out to 1350m (+150m). Last start resumed off 144 days with visors off BM65 Doomben. Drew wider crossed early to lead on a fast tempo and was too good late winning by 2.4L in a high rating race. He closed off there strongly late off that fast speed – always a sign of quality. Lightly raced talented horse up on speed again today with light weight and very hard to beat.

R4 n1 WITHOUT PEER Maps 4 pairs back outside. 4th run in first prep off 21 days rises 2kg and looks suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start when 28 days between runs Group 3 Rosehill S5 track sat back 7th 5L off leader on a fast tempo wide with no cover when 3rd beaten 3.2L by Sixties who led. That is never easy to do off that tempo against a hot inside rail bias at that meeting. Race rated highly and he had Autumn Boy ahead of him there in 2nd spot with big gaps behind. 1600m looks ideal and keen he wins this race.
R5 n19 IDLE FLYER Maps 4 pairs back outside with cover. 3d up off 14 days drops 4.5kg out to 1600m (+200m). Last start BM78 Randwick back onto a dry track drew outside and went forward early to sit 3rd inside 2L off leader on a crawl speed tempo and charged home late to win by 0.9L when well backed. She powered up late with an excellent L600m and the fastest L200m of the meeting. Has huge closing speed and with 52kg she will explode late at 1600m. Keen she wins again.
R7 n2 BRIASA Forward on map into the 1×1 position. 2nd up off 14 days and well suited out to 1200m (+100m). Last start resumed off 154 days Group 2 Randwick G4 track sat back 4th inside on a slow tempo in 1×1 5L off leader. He had all the favours there running 2nd to Joliestar but he exploded between the 400-200m before tiring late – he will be much fitter today. Joliestar produced a freakish finish off a very poor ride to beat him. Race rated highly and he improved sharply 2nd up last prep and gets a map advantage over Jimmysstar here and keen he wins.
R8 n4 AUTUMN GLOW Positive early from draw to be behind the leaders. 3d up off 21 days out to 1600m (+300m). Last start Group 2 Rosehill S6 track where you had to be on fence and inside on the +6m rail. She was 2nd up out to 1300m and back on to a S5 track. Sat 3rd early 3L off leader on a slow tempo and improved sharply coming to turn- it was race over from there. She exploded late winning by 2.2L. Race rated highly, and she had an electric L600m figure yet again. Freak mare who is poorly weighted today but still expect her to still do a job on this field at 1600m.

R7 n1 MAGNIFICENT ANDY MF on map and suited there this tempo. Resumes off 119-day spell and two trials. He won this race in 2023 at his only run on this track. Very well in at the weights under these conditions. Resumed last prep Ascot 1200m drew inside sat back 5L off leader and ran home powerfully late for 4th beaten 0.9L by Jokers Grin in a Quokka! That’s an outstanding reference for here. Keen he runs over the top of these late and wins.
R8 n4 STARRY HEIGHTS Forward early, will need a good ride from the awkward gate. Last start sat back 5th on a crawl speed tempo in the lead up race and was held up in straight until the 150m. Charged home late once clear with 2nd fastest L200m figure of the meeting. He was 1400m-2100m there and should have finished much closer. Loves this track – won this race last year and much better suited late off this stronger tempo today.
