R4 n4 READY TO SCHIPP Leads and controls inside. 3’° up off 20 days drops 1.5kg and suited out to 1350m (+150m). Last start 3/4YO BM65 Sun Coast drew wider and crossed to lead and control on a very fast tempo and just kept running- winning easily by 3.3L. Race rated strongly and her L400m figure off that tempo was excellent. Gets map favours up front out to 1350m this tempo and is race fit 3rd up and will take some running down late. Proven at Doomben H8 track.
R6 n4 EXCEED SPEED Positive early to midfield with cover. 6th up off 42 days and ran 3rd recent 1000m trial Doomben Nov 6. He was really good there in that trial behind two fast horses. Stays at 1600m off last start BM80 Toowoomba when ridden forward early to 2n° on a fast tempo. Was out of his comfort zone there on that tempo and expectedly tired late running 3º beaten 0.8L. Proven at Doomben sets up

R4 n4 HEDGED Forward inside behind leaders. 3rd up off 14 days rises 3kg and back to 1100m (-100m). Last start Group 3 Flemington 2nd up for new stable (ex-Price/Kent) sat back 5L off leader and buried way there on a very slow tempo (unsuited). Not clear until 300m and charged late for 6th beaten 2L (should have finished closer) by Caballus and closed off with 2nd fastest L200m of meeting. That is now two excellent runs for new stable -he is a very talented horse when right. Loves 1100m and maps to win today.
R6 n8 VESTAS MF on map with cover. 3rd up off 21 days drops 1.5kg and stays at 1200m. Last start Group 2 Mvalley was slow away (she can miss start) sat back 8L off leader/winner on an even tempo and had no hope of winning from there. She charged late with 3rd fastest L200m of meeting running 4th to Jigsaw beaten 3L. Race rated highly and her L600m figure was outstanding. Lightly raced 4YO mare and has huge closing speed. Maps suits today if she gets away cleanly and keen she can win.

R2 n9 STRAWBERRY IMPACT Maps 3P back outside. 5th up off 14 days rises 3kg out to 1600m (+100m). Last start BM78 Randwick S7 track sat back 4* on a slow tempo and tried hard late when 2nd to Rotagilla (smart) beaten 2.1L. Race rated ok and he closed off strongly L600m there. Back to Midway class today and looks to have found the right race with T Berry back riding-he has had excuses this prep in some of his losses and deserves to win today.
R5 n4 MERIDIANA Maps 4P back. 3rd up off 14 days drops 1kg out to 1600m (+100m). Peaks today off 14 days as against last start off 35 days when 2nd up BM68 Randwick S7 track sat 9L off leader on an even tempo wide there with cover. Charged home late for 2nd to Sonofdec beaten 0.7L. L400m figure was excellent and looks well suited out to 1600m on the bigger track ridden closer off the good draw with J Collet a very positive riding change. Keen she wins.
R10 n14 BRAVE ONE Maps 4th in 1×1. Last start resumed off 119 days and one soft trial BM78 Randwick S7 track with 61.5kg. Sat 3L off them early in 1/1 on a very slow tempo and ran home fast late when 2nd to Pokerjack who led and controlled. Run on horses had no hope that race but he closed off strongly late with 6th fastest L200m of meeting. Nice horse with majority of his form on wet tracks but is well suited with 54kg off this map/tempo. Lot fitter today and keen he wins.

R6 n1 DARTH INVADER On a tough night for specials, Darth Invader is a clear standout but unfortunately the best price on offer of $1.80 reflects that. He’s an ex-Victorian who showed speed at his first start in Qld at this track and fought on well for 2n° behind the promising Dr Farthing (has since raced well in a strong race at Ipswich). Will offset the wide gate with his early pace and be much too strong for this lot.

R5 n4 BLACK ORA 4th up off 14 days rises 3kg and stats at 1000m. Last start sat back 5th on an even tempo 4L off leader/winner. She ran home powerfully late for 3rd beaten O.4L and was struck by the whip of an opposing rider late. Race rated well and he L600m figure there was outstanding. Gets blinkers on today and a very fast early tempo- she will charge over the top of these late off that and win.
R7 n3 LONDONS IMAGE2nd up off 28 days rises 2kg and stays at 1200m. Resumed off longer 224-day spell Listed Ascot drew inside sat back 5th inside 5L off leader on a very fast tempo- they really ran along hard there early in that race. She got to the front close to line but was nailed late by Rope Them In (very good since in Group 3 race). Race rated highly and she just tired very late off that tempo. Proven 2nd up -she will lead here and win.
R8 n1 TALKANCO 4th up off 11 days drops 2kg and look suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start Listed Ascot sat 3rd early on an even tempo and was held up early in straight and had to charge late for 2nd narrowly beaten by Playin’it Sweet. Race rated strongly and she closed off strongly L200m off that tempo. Will eat up the 1600m today off a great map inside behind the speed and keen she wins.
R9 n11 LUANA 3rd up off 14 days and well suited out to 1200m (+100m). Last start when 2nd up sat back MF wide with cover 5L off the leader on a fast tempo and just launched in the straight off that set up winning impressively by 1.8L. Race rated highly and her L600m figure off that tempo was again outstanding. We got $5 this filly last start when declared as a special- we won’t get that today but she will be winning again.
