Drops 3kg and well suited back to 1000m off the short break. Last start Gold Coast MM Sprint sat back 7L on a very fast tempo and ran home powerfully out wider when 3″d to Axius beaten 2L. Race rated well and his closing figures were strong off that tempo. Loves the soft and he should explode late with 53kg with clear air in the straight.

L600m figure there was excellent. Not a regular winner for former stable but his last run was hard to ignore and this stable are on fire. Maps closer here in smaller field and races well at Caulfield. Keen he wins.

Last start resumed off 109-day spell Group1 Caulfield sat back 7L off leader on a slow tempo (unsuited) and charged home for 2nd beaten O.8L by Pericles. Race rated highly and his L600m figure off that tempo was excellent. Back on map again but class act in this field-loves Caulfield and should be home strong and winning.
R9 n12 SALTY PEARL Back behind lead group on map. 4* up on 7 day back up and stays at 1600m. Last start Group 2 Fillies Flemington drew wider in small field had to go back 7L off talented leader/winner and was wide there no cover. She ran home powerfully late beaten 4.5L by Sass Appeal in a very high rating race on a tough day for back markers. Looks to have found the right race today with the blinkers back on and is extremely well weighted. Keen she wins.
R10 n1 JIGSAW Positive early from wide draw. 2nd up off 49 days and ran 2nd recent 800m trial Caulfield Heath Feb 25. Rises 4kg and stays at 1200m when resumed off short 63-day spell Group 1 NZ drew wide crossed and sat 2°d before being too strong late winning by 0.8L. That race was lengths stronger class wise than here. Back flying now with runs being spaced and well proven at Caulfield-should lead and win again back to this class.

Last start Group 1 Randwick was slow away (2L) sat g” inside 7L off leader on a very slow tempo and then held up at 600m before charging home late when 5’h beaten 5.3L by Autumn Glow. His L600m figure there was outstanding. High quality 5YO he has the late acceleration to run these down late and win.
R10 n11 CAPTAIN FURAI Maps forward behind leaders and suited there late this tempo. 3’d up off 21 days drops 2.5kg out to 1400m (+100m). Last start BM78 sat back last inside 8L off leader on a fast tempo and was perfectly ridden in straight late winning by 0.7L. Race rated strongly and his L600m figure off that tempo was outstanding. Maps closer today and only has to repeat last start effort to be winning again. Keen he wins.
