R5 n7 NEED SOME LUCK Maps MF and outside and suited there this tempo. 3d up off 28 days and won recent 1045m trial Randwick May 30. He was brilliant from the back winning that trial. Drops 1kg and stays at 1200m. Last start Listed Coast was slow away (2L) sat well back inside 8L off leader/winner on a slow tempo and had zero chance of winning from there. Charged home late for 2’a beaten 1.5L by Rockribbed and clearly should have won. Under rated horse with very good 1200m stats and his trial was outstanding. Keen he wins off this map/set up.
R8 n7 WAR MACHINE MF and outside on map with cover. 4th up off 21 days drops 3.5kg and suited out to 1400m. Last start Group 3 Doomben sat 4th early inside on an even tempo and got out into clear in the straight before exploding late to win by 2.6L. Quality horse, race rated strongly and his L200m figure there off that tempo was outstanding. Maps to do the same today with 53kg and keen he wins.
R9 n1 FAWKNER PARK Back last on map. 6th up off 14 days out to 2200m (+200m). Last start Group 1 Doomben drew outside sat back last 14L off leader and was on behind Antino there but couldn’t sprint with him when he made a mid-race move running 2a beaten 4L. He had almost identical L400m figures to Antino but was left a bit flat footed mid race when Antino made his move. There is no Antino in this field and he destroyed a similar field in this race last year. Out to 2200m in the small field-he should round this lot up in the straight and win.

R2 n5 TERILEE MF on map and outside. 4th race start off 21 days rises 2.5kg back to 1300m (-100m). Last start 3YOF BM78 Sandown H S5 track drew outside was ridden along early trying to get over and then eased back wider 8L off the leader on a very fast tempo. That was a tough gig there doing that. Ran on strongly late for 2nd to Ahha Ahha beaten 3L. Race rated highly and her L400m figure off that tempo was excellent. No luck now her last two starts behind two talented winners. Maps to run home over the top of these in straight.
R3 n8 AHHA AHHA Forward inside behind leaders. Deeper into prep off 21 days drops 5.5kg and stays at 1400m. Last start 3YOF BM78 this track sat 4th early in good spot on a very fast tempo and exploded late to win impressively by 3L. Her closing figure there off that tempo was best of the meeting. Excellent effort and has always had ability. Loses J Melham but gets big weight drop with claim and be too strong late again and win.
R4 n3 DIRTY GRIN MF behind lead group and off inside. 6th up off 14 days rises 5.5kg out to 1400m (+200m). Last start BM84 Caulfield sat way back early 12th on an even tempo and charged home late to just miss when 2nd to Namesake. Race rated strongly and he closed off with 11th fastest L200m of the meeting. He was off 35 days there but back to BM74 class suits out to 1400m -he was very strong L600m last run. Map suits and looks winner.

Last start BM72 Canterbury H8 track drew outside went forward to sit 3rd 4L off leader on a fast tempo and pounced late to win well by 0.6L. Race rated strongly and back to 1400m looks good off this map. He gets right set up today and keen he wins.
R10 n11 SACRED ROCKS Positive early on map to be on speed from wide draw. 2ª up off 17 days drops 2kg and suited out to 1300m (+100m). Resumed off 98 day spell BM64 Sale drew outside crossed quickly to sit 2d OSL on a fast tempo and destroyed that field from there winning by 4.8L closing off with 10th fastest L200m of meeting. No runs on soft but lightly raced 4YO mare and suited out to 1300m.

R3 n4 TWO MINDS Unraced 2yo from the inform Currie stable. Hasn’t trialled publicly but looks well above average on its 3 jump-out wins in impressive style. Maps to get the right run just behind the speed and will be too strong for these late.

R1 n7 PURE EXCESS Was very good on debut when came down the wrong side of the straight at Pinjarra on S6 track. Drifted right back and tried to get to outside rail but got held up until the 100m. She charged late with a dominant close to run 3rd beaten 0.7L. Clearly should have won there and much better suited today around a bend staying at 1000m, keen she wins.
R4 n7 FIRST ENCOUNTER 3rd up now and ready to win. Last start Northam got back to near last on a very slow tempo and charged home late with a dominant L600m figure to run 2nd beaten 1.8L by Madame Magic. He gets back on map again today but can get to the outside here which suits this track and run over these late, loves the soft and looks well suited.
R6 n8 MY SHIRATAKU 3rd up out to 1400m off two excellent wins this prep. Last start Pinjarra led and controlled on a very slow tempo winning easily by 3L. That was a replica of his maiden win and while he draws wide today, Pike will let him roll forward early and he should control race from there either leading or outside lead. Big strong untapped 3YO in leading stable, first run on soft track today but this race lacks depth and can win again.
