Was very tough late when 2nd beaten 0.3L by Kings Secret with an extra 7kg. Very good 2nd up stats and only beaten 2.5L in last year’s Stradbroke. Classy tough horse and very hard to run down late.
R10 n14 ROSELYNS’S STAR Positive early from draw to be behind the speed. Resumes off 98-day spell and two trials. Was very impressive winning most recent 1050m Randwick Dec 30 when sat 3’d early in a fast trial – asked for an effort late and destroyed them with big gaps in behind. Runner up that trial won Kenso Wednesday. Good quality 4YO and figures from last prep were high quality. Well placed this class and should be winning.

R4 n14 YES I KNOW Forward inside behind the lead group. 4th up off 17 days and stays at 1800m. Last start Flemington BM70 was slow away sat 5L off on a very fast tempo with cover. That race was run very fast and he closed off strongly L200m when 2nd to Fiorenot beaten 0.8L in a high rating race. Gets weight swing and blinkers on today off a great map. Keen he wins.
R5 n6 CELERITY Forward early behind the leader. 4’h up off 17 days rises 1kg out to 1100m (+100m). Last start BM70 Flemington drew outside sat 4th early on an even tempo and cruising there waiting to be unleashed. Took over at 200m and won effortlessly by 3.8L closing off with a totally dominant L200m for meeting. Outstanding effort off that tempo. Loses J Melham which is significant but if she repeats last start effort she wins.
R8 n2 SAINT GEORGE Forward early behind the lead group. 5th up off 21 days rises 1kg and stays at 2000m. Last start BM100 Cranbourne when back onto his preferred dry track sat 2L off inside with the run of race on a slow tempo. He was way too good off that winning easily by 2.5L. Fitter and better for that and suited Flemington, wins again.
R10 n8 SASS APPEAL Positive early from wider draw to be on speed. 3rd race start off 20 days drops 3.5kg and stays at 1400m. Last start Maiden Seymour drew outside crossed and led on a fast tempo and never looked like losing winning by 1.2L. She finished off strongly there off that tempo. Big strong filly gets map favours up front with light weight and will be very hard to run down late.

Went around them wider on turn and just exploded in straight with meeting fastest L400m winning eased down by 2.6L. Very well bred – wet track no issue and he will be winning lot better races than this.

R5 n5 DESERT DANCING 4th up off 16 days suited back out to 1400m (+200m). Maps closer today and closed powerfully last start 1200m in a race where they slowed noticeably mid race. She had an excellent L200m figure and sets up nicely out to 1400m. She has very strong closing speed and is ready to win.
R8 n1 TERRITORY MAN 4th up off 16 days rises 2.5kg and well suited out to 1800m (+200m). Last start out to 1600m this class Ascot drew outside sat back 8L off on a slow tempo and had no hope off that race shape/tempo. Charged late for 2nd beaten 0.9L with a powerful L800m close. Nice horse who will be too strong from the back late for these.

R5 n12 RED DEFCON Is a smart mare who is well placed back to this class under set weight conditions. She jumped out very impressively at Toowoomba before resuming and running well in the Listed Nudgee Stakes at Eagle Farm last start. She will sit a bit closer today in the smaller field and the step up to 1350m is ideal, can run over the top of these late to score at nice odds.
