R6 n11 NOW IS THE HOUR Resumes off 98 day spell and won recent 1000m trial Doomben S5 track April 7. Will cross these early and be on speed for A Jones and is an emerging sprinter in leading stable. Loves Eagle Farn and well proven off fast tempos, really nice horse and expecting him to win better races than this.
R7 n13 TEN DEEP Forward early behind the lead group. 5t* up off 14 days drops 3.5kg and stays at 1400m. Last start BM70 Eagle Farm sat 3d inside with run of race on a crawl speed tempo. Was then blocked most of straight and never clear until race was over, she launched late to just miss and clearly should have won. Lot better mare off faster tempos and looks destined for stakes class mare’s races over the carnival.

R5 n1 MATIAS Forward inside on map on leaders back. 3rd up off 14 days drops 1.5kg and looks suited out to 2000m (+400m). Last start Group 3 Randwick S7 track sat back 7* inside 4L off leader on a very slow tempo (unsuited). Had a clear run home in straight with an excellent L400m figure when 3 beaten narrowly by Autumn Break. Out to 2000m should suit and Nash back riding is a plus off an inside on speed map. Promising young stayer and keen he wins.
R7 n1 CAMPIONE D’ITALIA Maps 3P back outside. 5t up off 14 days and looks suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start Group 1 Randwick S7 track sat back 6L off on a fast tempo and won impressively from there by 0.8L. Run prior had race fastest L400m in Golden Slipper and has always looked like 1600m will suit him. Back on to a dryer track and map should suit much better today.
R10 n18 CAPTAIN FURAI Forward on map behind lead group. 5″ up off 21 days drops 3kg and stays at 1400m. Last start BM88 Rosehill S6 track drew inside sat 4 inside 3L off on a slow tempo. He had an outstanding L600m figure off that closing off with fastest L200m of meeting winning easily by 1.8L. Ready now for this class with weight drop off great map-keen he wins.

Resumed off 140 day spell Listed Rosehill S6 track drew wider sat back 4L off on a brutal tempo and was wide there no cover. Looked well beaten in straight but was coming back again late when beaten 3.5L. Lot better map here leading at 1400m this tempo with a positive gear change. His best form is just better than these horses and keen he wins.
R4 n5 MATCHA LATTE Positive early from wider draw to be on speed. 4™ up off 35 days and ran 4′ recent 1000m tick over trial Newcastle S5 track March 24. Stays at 1400m off last start
Hawkesbury when led and controlled on a fast tempo winning by 2.6L and was eased down late. His L200m figure off that tempo was still excellent. Well weighted today and won this race last year but looks to be going even better now. Keen he wins.
R5 n3 PROFOUNDLY Positive early from wider draw to be MF looking for cover early. on speed 4″ up on 7 day back up out to 2400m (+400m). Last start Group 3 Randwick sat back 6L off inside on a fast tempo. Got to outside in straight winning easily by 2.2L. Race rated highly and her L200m figure off that tempo was outstanding which sets her up well out to 2400m
today. Clearly the best lead up run for today and will just need some early cover from her draw.
R10 n3 GANGSTA GRANNY Positive early from wider draw to be on speed. 3’d up off 14 days drops 2.5kg and stays at 1200m. Last start Group 3 Rosehill S6 track drew outside in big field crossed quickly to sit
2nd outside on even tempo. Best ground inside there yet challenged to win and run down late by lightly weighted Roselyns Star (inside) beaten 0.4L. Race rated highly and her figures were excellent. Gets similar race shape/profile today back against the mares and very hard to run down late.
