Last start BM84 Sandown drew wider crossed and led inside on an even tempo and had chance to win from there running 3rd to Chinqui beaten 1.1L. Race rated strongly and they had a very fast L600m in that race, it was tough for the run on horses there late. Her soft track runs have all been good and gets back to 3YO class, this jockey has won on her before and will take plenty of running down.
R6 n3 THE BLACK CLOUD Positive early to be from draw to get over on speed. 2d up off 19 days rises 1.5kg and stays at 1100m. Resumed off shorter 93 day spell BM88 Canterbury sat 4th early in 1×1 on a fast tempo and took over in straight but was run down late by World Alliance beaten 0.9L. Race rated dominant best of meeting and winner there can produce a booming finish in his races when he is in the mood. Loves the wet and 1100m, proven 2d up and sets up well today back to F&M class race.
R9 n10 THE OPEN Map suits behind the lead speed group here. 5th up off 14 days rises 1kg out to 1440m (+40m). Last start in a strong Open hcp at Sandown, sat back off MF 7L off leader on an even tempo and had a clear run home for 4ih beaten 0.9L by Hughes who got a favourable inside run home at that meeting with 51kg. Race rated strongly. Jockey has 2d ride on him today which is a big tick and races well this track. Loves the wet and gets blinkers on first time which is a great gear change for him. Keen he can win off a great map.

Last start 3/4YO BM72 Randwick S5 track was 2nd up out to 1400m led early on a very fast tempo and tried his heart out in the straight when run down by Don’t Forget Jack beaten by 0.4L. Race rated best of meeting and his effort there was excellent. Maps well today with weight drop and positive gear change back on dryer track. Keen he wins.
R4 n5 WEEPING WOMAN Positive early to be on speed. 3rd up off 14 days out to 1400m (+100m). Last start F&M BM78 Rosehill S5 track drew outside crossed and led even tempo then challenged early in straight before running 2nd to Sacred Rocks (very smart) beaten 0.3L when heavily backed. Race rated strongly and her effort there was very good. Looks suited out to 1400m on speed and now race fit. J Ford has first ride and confident she can win.
R5 n3 LIVIN’ THING Maps 4P back outside and suited. 4th up off 17 days drops 2.5kg out to 1100m. Last start BM64 Kenso sat 5th in 1×1 3L off leader on an even tempo and really let down late with a strong L600m sprint to win by 1.5L when heavily backed late. Race rated best of meeting and his L600m figure there off that tempo was excellent. Lightly raced 3YO in good stable and has very strong closing speed off fast tempo so is well suited out to 1200m today with the claim and this map looks ideal for him late. Nice horse.
R8 n10 PIGGYBACK Forward inside behind leaders. 3rd up off 21 days drops 1.5kg and suited out to 1800m (+200m). Last start F&M BM78 Randwick S7 track sat back 3ra inside on a very slow tempo and it was basically a 400m sprint home. She ran 3ra beaten narrowly in a blanket finish but was strong late. Has some big figures from races last winter off fast tempos 1800m + and sets up well today 3a up with the claim off a great map, looks the winner.
