Race 1: JE SUIS BELLE resumes in what looks a suitable target. She has 3 wins and 2 seconds from 5 starts and looks the leader from the good draw, hard to beat. DRAGON MISS was very impressive winning two runs back at this track then wasn’t disgraced at Doomben last start, main danger. BEWARE has a good record this track and from the good draw looks next best. CLIVEDEN also races well here and from the inside gate has place claims.

Race 2: TEARS OF LOVE is first up, resumed last campaign with a solid effort for 2nd at Gold Coast in a stronger race. Has won both his races at this track, will push forward and take running down. MISSLLEERS was impressive winning at Gold Coast last start over 1100m, steps up to this distance for the first time but can’t be ruled out. QUART POT won well here last start over this track and distance, is building a good record and could go on with it. CINCINNATI RED is drawn to box seat from the inside alley, place chance.

Race 3: GRAND BARRAIL didn’t jump well but finished the race off very nicely first up at this track over 1200m recently and will have derived plenty of benefit from that. Drawn okay and the extra distance will suit, looks a strong each way chance. FIGHTING COMMANDO will roll forward and try to dictate from the front, there looks to be other pace engaged but if left alone will take running down. CHAMPAGNE AUNTY won her maiden well at this track three back then ran okay for 2nd at Ipswich. She resumed with a handy 3rd at Gold Coast and raced like the extra distance would suit, chance. SISTER KATHLEEN will get back from the inside gate but the rise in distance will suit and can run home into the placings.

Race 4: RECALL EVENTS has come back in good form this campaign kicking off with a strong win then a good 5th behind Miss Gem at Sunshine Coast. Came to this track and trip and had no luck before running well at Ballina behind a promising type. In a race that lacks depth looks a good each way value bet. KING BART ran well when a close 2nd at Beaudesert last start, looks the leader and could take some running down. STAR CENTRE ran a close 2nd at Ipswich two back over this distance then stepped up in grade and ran fairly. Gets the handy claim for top apprentice and can’t be ruled out. SERRIANO looks ready to peak after three runs back from a spell and is drawn and weighted well, each way claims.

Race 5: SARASUN had all the favours last start but finished strongly to score. Drawn to get all the favours again and well in after the claim for in form apprentice, take beating. Never thought BEL BEAU would run 1850m but liked the way he travelled and finished off behind a handy horse last start at this track over 1625m. Up in weight but has a chance with the right run in transit. DOMINANT WITNESS ran home well for 3rd in a handy race at Beaudesert last start and has value each way claims. PERFECT PAGE will get back but usually hits the line well and has place claims.

Race 6: ABSOLUTE GLORY resumed with a strong finishing 2nd at Rockhampton, will be improved for that and drops in weight, leading chance. GREATEST JOY is a beautifully bred Chris Waller trained 3yo filly who ran fairly on debut when 5that Hawkesbury. Has drawn the inside and carries bottom weight, will take plenty of beating. AWESOME POWER has placed at her last two starts and has an each way value chance. LET’S BOOM is never far away and has place claims again.

Race 7: SHELLEY’S SPIRIT ran well for 3rd two runs back at this track behind the smart Avowal who won well again last night at Sunshine Coast. She followed that up with a handy 5th on a heavy track under a big weight, has been freshened and from the perfect draw with a light weight looks the winner. HISGRACE has run some handy races and with pace on could be the one finishing off strongly, place chance. POSEY COUNTY is a first starter who has trialled okay and deserves respect. WHITSUNDAY LAD has been gelded since showing good pace to lead and run 3rd at this track last start, will lead and could hang on for a place.

Race 8: ORSON is an ex Victorian who resumes for strong local stable and gets in well at the weights after the claim for promising apprentice. Drawn nicely and sure to be primed for first up run, hard to beat. EPIC REIGN is a well-bred 3yo filly on debut who has jumped out well and must be respected. SHOTGUN SONNY resumes, he ran a couple of handy races last prep and has been working well, chance. OUR ROCKIN’ ran okay without luck on debut in August, resumes from a wide draw but has a place chance with natural improvement.
