MEETING PREVIEW
Race 1: PIEROPAN has been racing well without luck of late and although up in weight drops back in grade and this looks a very suitable target, great each way chance. ALADINA races well at this track and should be at peak fitness now after three runs back from a spell, good jockey booked and could be the value runner. MISS MARGS hit the line well for 2nd at Sunshine Coast last start and from the good draw with a light weight has an each way chance. STAR CENTRE had been hitting the line okay then was taken to the lead and fought on to win, has a chance again but looks short enough in early markets.

Race 2: QUEEN OF THE NIGHT resumes after racing over much further and might get too far out of her ground early but did win her only try at this distance. Looks to be plenty of speed on and if she can be within striking distance could be the knockout runner at good odds. DULC ‘N’ LEN won well on debut at Gatton then was a forgive run at Dalby, drawn for a nice run just off the speed and will take beating. FAV’S FLYER has plenty of pace and will be looking to lead them all the way but the last 50m could be the worry. GLOBAL VENTURE has won twice in the country since changing trainers, his form before that was okay and can’t be ruled out.

Race 3: GOLDEN GOAL is resuming from a spell but brings the best form. Has jumped out well in preparation for this and looks the hardest to beat. MAEVILA RULER was unlucky at Dalby last start when running 2nd, the 3rd horse Ovidius won at Sunshine Coast last night so the form has been strengthened. Hasn’t drawn well but good jockey riding and will take holding out late. MADAM TESS ran well at Gatton last start when only grabbed late for a narrow 2nd, drawn well and looks next best. DOTNED is first up from a spell, her 4th at Gold Coast on debut gives her a place chance in this.

Race 4: PETITE ELLE is up in class but has been racing well including a strong win at Dalby two starts back beating Shotgun Sonny who is the early favourite for this. Has drawn the inside with a light weight and won her only start at this track impressively, good each way chance. CHICAGO O’BRIEN is better than form suggests, has been working well and could win if returns to best form. ARCHER’S TREASURE is finding it hard to win but drops down in class again on recent efforts, will push forward and take running down. SHOTGUN SONNY won his maiden easily at the non-TAB meeting at Bell two runs back, was since run down late at Dalby behind Petite Elle, has a chance but looks short enough in early markets.

Race 5: ALL JEED UP will be driving forward from the outside gate and if he can find the front should be too strong for an average lot. MAHOE GOLD will get the right run from an inside gate and looks a danger as does HISGRACE who will be hitting the line hard late. CROSBY ROAD has always had a boom on him but yet to deliver, could run a race fresh.

Race 6: CHUBASCOS ran well on debut when 3rd behind the smart Simply Fly then had no luck next start, was sent for a spell and resumed with a tidy effort at Sunshine Coast recently. Down in class and wears blinkers first time, value chance. SERATALLI has no early pace but always hits the line hard, drops in grade and will take plenty of holding out late. REGAL EYES has run 3rd her last two starts at Sunshine Coast which reads well for a race like this, chance. SEIZETHEMOMENT is first up, he showed some ability at his only preparation and has place claims from the inside gate.

Race 7: RED WABBAT drops in class from her solid city effort last start, previous form is strong enough for a race like this and from the good alley will take holding out late. DANCING ANGEL fought on well for 4th at Ipswich first up after working hard in the run. Races well at this track and will push forward again and take running down. KASITA resumes from a spell, races well at this track and can’t be ruled out. REMEMBER MARY has a good record this track and distance and from an inside draw will be there for a long way.

Race 8: SONIC ARROW has run a string of seconds including last start behind the highly promising Miami Fleiss at Sunshine Coast first up. Will race on pace and gets in very well at the weights for apprentice rider and will take a power of beating. LINTHORPE LAD has raced well on all three occasions, two runs back he had no luck before charging to the line for 4th at Warwick then hit the line well again for 4th at Sunshine Coast last start. Will get back again but if they overdo it up front could run over the top of them late. REAL EMPRESS is an ex Waller horse who won a recent trial, is drawn the inside and is the query runner.
