Race 1: HARRYUP stepped up to the mile for the first time last start and had no luck when trapped wide the whole way but fought on okay for 5th at Ballina. Gets a positive jockey change and will be hard to beat. HE’S ALL READY hit the line well at this track last start over 1300m and the extra distance should suit, chance. GO MILLO had a tough run at Kilcoy last start but still kicked on for 4th beaten less than 2 lengths. Drawn for a softer run and has each way claims.

Race 2: PATCHES has come back in great form this preparation with two very good seconds at Gold Coast then Doomben. Loves this track and is well weighted after the claim, will need a touch of luck from the outside gate but has class on these. DRAGON MISS would’ve beaten Je Suis Belle in one more stride last start at this track over 1050m. Drawn for a soft run just behind the speed and will take holding out late. ZAITEKI won impressively last start and looks next best. SUPERSONIC BOOM ran well first up and drawn nicely, place chance.

Race 3: MISS MCKINLEY is a very speedy mare who broke through for a solid maiden win at Beaudesert last start and although up in class will lead for in form apprentice and take plenty of running down. SPARTAN JET ran some smart late sectionals first up when 3rd over this track and trip, will get back from the wide draw again but if they overdo it up front early could be the knockout runner late. DIVI ran okay in a stronger race last start and has a good record at this track, each way chance. BOBBIE JO resumes from a good barrier and carries no weight after the claim, next best.

Race 4: BESTIE is working his way back to form including a solid effort for 2nd at Sunshine Coast last start, loves this track and will lead from the good draw and take plenty of running down. PENASQUITO raced outside the leader in fast sectionals at Ipswich last start and fought on well for 2nd. Having first race start at this track is a slight query and giving weight away to main rivals but value chance on latest effort. BLUEANT is racing well with two thirds and a win at his last three starts, drawn a touch awkward but has winning claims with the right run in transit. TREASURE OF GOLD looks next best from the inside alley.

Race 5: GRAND BARRAIL wasn’t suited by the slow tempo last start but finished off well and will be suited by the extra distance, good jockey booked and has a good each way chance. UNLEASH THE RED is a northern NSW visitor who brings handy form including a strong finishing 2nd at Ballina last start, drawn well and looks a chance at odds. STEINBRENNER was disappointing at first Qld run but has been working well since and could be worth another chance on previous form down south. RED MONKEY doesn’t win often but has come back in good form and races well at this track, place claims.

Race 6: DREAM POLICE was very unlucky last start at this track over 1650m, looks an improving type and the extra distance will suit. Gets the handy claim for top apprentice and drawn well, has a very good each way value chance. BRACKEN didn’t handle the dirt track at Roma last start, his form prior was good and races well this track and trip. Is well weighted after the claim, main danger. INSIDE INFORMATION has very good Ipswich and Doomben form of late, first run at this track and the step up in distance are slight queries but from the inside gate will get every chance. THE MINIVAN isn’t racing at his best but likes this track and distance and if he bounces back to form can’t be ruled out.

Race 7: SHOTGUN SONNY ran very well first up but bumped into one a bit better on the night when 2nd to Orson over 1050m at this track. Drawn for the run of the race in an average field and looks the winner. LICENCE TO ROCK ran some handy races without a lot of luck last preparation and although drawn wide can race well fresh. BOOM THE GREAT is a first starter who trialled okay recently and must be respected with good jockey booked. WHITSUNDAY LAD will lead and has rough place claims.

Race 8: WOODY WOOD DUCK looks to get his chance to break through in a weak race. Drawn well for good jockey and looks the leading chance. PATTI WAGIN showed ability last campaign but disappointed first up at Dalby, can bounce back and be the big improver here. BETTER IN THAN OUT ran well first up when narrowly beaten at this track over 870m, the step up in trip is a query but drawn well and won’t be too far away. TEMUJIN LASS is drawn well with a light weight and looks next best.
