Race 1: TISANI MAGIC resumed at Gold Coast with a tidy effort for 6th in a stronger race after missing the start. Has a great record this track and although carrying the big weight looks better than these and will take plenty of beating. KEEP ON LOVING YOU is first up after one fair run last preparation, his previous form was okay including two wins over this track and distance and looks a danger. TRAIL OF GLORY was well backed when resuming at this track last start over 1000m but didn’t finish off as expected when 4th behind Dotti Dear. Has a better record 2nd up and at this distance, chance. VOULAIT had no luck at this track last start, previous form okay and will race on pace from the inside alley, place claims.

Race 2: FAT MAX has had two runs back from a spell and should be at peak fitness now, drawn well and gets a handy claim for inform apprentice, hard to beat. THE IRONS is consistent but doesn’t win often, has run eight placings from 11 starts at the track and looks an each way chance again. LOVE YERS ALL gains a start after scratchings and has a good record over this track and distance, finding it hard it win but drawn well for good jockey and can’t be ruled out. CINCINNATI RED is a former Victorian having its first start this area for Mark Currie, has run a lot of placings and has an each way chance on best form.

Race 3: DRAGON MISS has the outside alley to contend with but has the speed to cross and lead or sit outside the lead and control the race, her form looks better than these and will take plenty of running down. ISSAQUAH broke through for a deserved win in maiden company last start at this track, drawn for a nice run again and looks the main danger. FOREVER VOLO won on debut over this track and distance, steps up slightly in class but could go on with it. NO NO NINETTE won her maiden well two starts back at this track then didn’t run the 1350m out at Ipswich last start, back to this trip suits and has place claims.

Race 4: GOTTA BE FIRST has run two very good 2nds at his last two starts over the mile at this track. Steps up to 1880m which should suit and looks the leading chance. RHYME TIME has been running well since stepping up to this distance range of late including last start when third at Gold Coast behind Glen Ord, races well at Toowoomba and good jockey booked, main danger. IN YOUR ELEMENT hasn’t won for a while and been mixing form of late, will get back and needs some luck in running but has a place chance.

Race 5: COUNT THE COIN was a good thing beat at this track first up two weeks ago, draws the inside and the extra distance will suit. Very hard to beat. MR BROSE has solid form including 2nd to the promising Avowal two runs back then ran okay for 5th at Sunshine Coast last start, looks the only danger. GOLD JET hit the line well at this track last start over 1110m and should appreciate the rise in distance, will get back but could run into the placings. COMMANDING SPIRIT is drawn well for good jockey and has rough place claims.

Race 6: PERSIAN KING had no luck over this track and distance last start when trapped three wide but fought on well for 2nd. Will one at peak fitness now third run back from a spell and is drawn for the perfect run from the inside gates, Hard to beat. HE’S ALL READY is a former Victorian who brings handy form which includes 6 placing from 15 starts. May improve with the run but has a good each way chance. TEMUJIN LASS is racing well including a last start 2nd at Sunshine Coast behind a handy one. Has drawn wide but looks next best. LET’S BOOM is drawn well and is always a place chance in this sort of race.

Race 7: BLUE HARMONY is a very speedy filly who ran 2nd on debut at this track and distance and followed it up with a handy 4th at Ipswich from the outside gate. Has won a trial and a jump out impressively in preparation for this and will be too fast for these. BELTANA is a first starter for the strong Lindsay Hatch stable. Has shown ability at the jump outs and is wearing blinkers for first run, must be respected. CHERUX DESTRUCTOR has the inside gate and carries no weight after the claim, place chance.

Race 8: Tough maiden race to finish with and low confidence with selections. SINGLE RISE is having its first start for top local trainer, trial was only fair but this looks a weak race, chance. JONDY ALL SET resumes after one ordinary run earlier this year but is well bred and could be the value runner. BEATING DRUM resumes for new stable, ran 4th over this track and distance two runs back, place claims.
