Last start resumed off short 86-day spell BM94 Rosehill drew inside sat back 4L and was then held up severely in straight- basically taken out of race when 5* to Point and Shoot beaten 2.8L but still closed off with 6’h fastest L200m of meeting- should have won. Very well placed at weights and has powerful late closing speed. Proven Soft.

Last start off 35 days Open Doomben drew outside missed start badly (3L) sat back 11L
inside on a very slow tempo. Had no hope of winning from there and then held up on turn before charging late with meeting dominant L600m figure for 2nd to Miss Joelene beaten 0.4L. Clearly unlucky there, proven out to 1600m and will be strong late with 53kg. Loves it soft if more rain arrives.

Last start on debut 2YO Sandown L sat 4 in 1/1 on a crawl speed tempo-they walked in front in that race and it became a 400m sprint home. He exploded at the 200m to win very easily by 2.3L. Nice horse and map suits with cover-he will really appreciate more early speed here. Keen he runs them down late and wins again.

R4 n2 MUKHTALIF Forward inside on speed. 2nd up off 21 days rises 1.5kg and stays at 1800m. Last start resumed off 176 days BM74 Caulfield with winkers off (first Aust run for C Maher). Drew outside sat 2nd on a fast tempo and was very strong through the line winning by 2L.
Controlled that race up on a fast tempo and is well placed to do the same today.

R7 n15 ZAKOUMA Back off MF outside with cover. 4** up off 28 days drops 1kg and stays at 2000m. Last start BM84 Flemington H8 track sat back 9L off on a fast tempo. Was still 7L off them early in straight but exploded late winning by 2.8L. Race rated highly and he had outstanding closing figures off that tempo. Back on dryer track is no issue and should run over these late again with 53kg. Keen he wins.

He had an outstanding L600m figure off that closing off with fastest L200m of meeting winning easily by 1.8L. Ready now for this class with weight drop off great map-keen he wins.

Hawkesbury when led and controlled on a fast tempo winning by 2.6L and was eased down late. His L200m figure off that tempo was still excellent. Well weighted today and won this race last year but looks to be going even better now. Keen he wins.

Last start Group 3 Randwick sat back 6L off inside on a fast tempo. Got to outside in straight winning easily by 2.2L. Race rated highly and her L200m figure off that tempo was outstanding which sets her up well out to 2400m
today. Clearly the best lead up run for today and will just need some early cover from her draw.

2nd outside on even tempo. Best ground inside there yet challenged to win and run down late by lightly weighted Roselyns Star (inside) beaten 0.4L. Race rated highly and her figures were excellent. Gets similar race shape/profile today back against the mares and very hard to run down late.

R10 n4 MALLATIER 4th up off 28 days rises 2kg and stays at 1200m. Last start 3rd up staying at 1200m BM66 Ascot drew outside sat back 4L off and was wide there with cover on a very fast tempo. Got out wider and launched late winning narrowly but very impressively with a completely dominant L200m figure off that tempo. Flying in WA for new stable and maps to repeat that run late here today.

That run off a brutal tempo in a high rating race sets him up perfectly out to 2000m. Gets a perfect stalking map for J Mac and is proven on soft, extremely hard to beat.

That run off a brutal tempo in a high rating race sets him up perfectly out to 2000m. Gets a perfect stalking map for J Mac and is proven on soft, extremely hard to beat.
