T Clark knows her well and map/tempo today ideal for astute stable in target race. Keen she runs over them late and wins.

R10 n5 BOOMTOWM BOSS MF on map outside and suited there late. 4** up off 28 days drops 5.5kg and back to 1300m (-100m). Last start 3/4YO EFarm S5 track sat 4L off leader inside on a very slow tempo. He was in wrong place there as the leaders walked in front when 3rd to Tuned beaten 2.2L. His best form is fresh and off 28 days with C Williams and light weight she should be very strong late.

R1 n6 OUR CHIEF Forward early on speed. 2nd up off 15 days and suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start resumed off 147-day spell 3YO BM70 Cranbourne drew outside sat back MF 5L off leader on very fast tempo and was wide there no cover. They ran that race hard from start to finish so he had zero favours there when 3rd to Davida (won since) beaten 2L. He was still very good late off that tempo which is a sign of quality. Suited on map and is a decent young horse.

R7 n12 KNOBELASS Forward inside behind the leader. 4t up off 21 days drops 2kg and well suited out to 1600m (+100m). Last start BM78 Caulfield Heath sat 3rd easily 3L off on leader/winners back. Got clear when 2nd narrowly beaten by Roadcone who pinched that race when it sprinted fast early around that rubbish tight Caulfield Heath circuit. Different story today back to Flemington 1600m and keen she wins today.

R8 n5 HEDGED Midfield with cover on map. 6th up off 15 days and stays at 1200m. Last start off 35 days Listed Sand L (WINKERS OFF F/TIME) sat 2L off on a slow tempo and was wide there no cover. He settled so much better there with the gear change. Cruised up to them in straight and gapped them late winning by 2.5L. His L600m figure off that tempo was elite. He has been a frustrating horse for punters, but if he settles again here early he will be winning again.

They ran along very fast there on speed with no resting. He was run over late when 3rd beaten 2.2L by Sly Boots. Was clear best of the on-speed runners in a high rating race. Back to Midway class at home track off a suitable map suits ideally.

Resumed off 155 days BM94 Rosehill drew outside in big field crossed wide early on a brutal tempo to be 2°d 2L off leader. He had to weaken from there but did run 6th only beaten 1.6L by Grid Girl. He was torched there early and was very brave late. Sets up great leading/controlling around this track-he is a different horse when he can lead like that.

R9 n3 KNOW THYSELF Maps 4*h in 1/1. 2nd up off 21 days drops 1kg out to 1600m (+200m). Last start resumed off 218 days BM100 Randwick drew wider crossed to be 4th in 1/1 on a very slow tempo. Was very well ridden there and was too strong late winning by 0.2L. He had a big 600m figure winning there. Good horse maps ideally and is a winner.

R6 n5 TIMELESS GEM 3rd up off 28 days rises 2kg and suited out to 1400m (+200m). Last start BM72 Ascot was 2nd up on a 7 day back up sat 3rd early on a brutal tempo and was too good late winning by 0.6L. Race rated highly and his L200m figure off that tempo was excellent. Nice horse proven at 1400m off fast tempo and forward on speed today and suited.

R8 n9 JAZZ SESSION Deeper into prep off 9 days and well suited out to 1100m (+100m). Last start back to 1000m Listed Ascot drew outside sat back MF 3 wide with cover 6L off on an even tempo. She was then held up twice off that and should have won when 2nd to Madhi Girl beaten 0.2L. Her L800m figure from race were outstanding. Maps a lot better today and ready to win.

R5 n7 FLOREY 3rd up off 14 days drops 1.5kg and well suited out to 1400m. Last start Class 2 Morph drew wider sat 4L on a brutal tempo. They really ran along fast there -with no resting. She was unbalanced in straight after a bumping duel when 2nd beaten 0.5L. Race rated highly and her figures were strong. Lightly raced mare in top stable gets positive gear change 3rd up out to 1400m. Keen she wins.

Gets 4kg weight swing on Tambeloa and positive map today for this jockey. Keen he can win.

Sat back inside 4L off leader and didn’t have much room from there in straight when 3rd to Grafterburners beaten 0.5L. Race rated well and he had meeting best L600m which was outstanding effort. Proven at 1300m-gets T Berry first time and a positive ride early should see him winning.

R10 n1 HELL Positive early from wider draw. 3rª up off 15 days rises 1.5kg out to 1200m (+90m). Last start Open Coast drew wider and was wide no cover there on a fast tempo and had no chance of winning beaten 3.7L by Fleetwood. Different set up today for him back to BM78 class with the claim. Very fast early and has got strong 1200m figures when he can control up front in races like this.

Randwick Meeting Selections

R2 n1 NAVY BUOY Leads and controls on map. 5th up off 14 days and stays at 1600m. Last start Class 3 Highway Randwick led and controlled on an even tempo and never looked like losing. Huge 600-200m split winning by 3.3L. Was well rated/ridden there and racing really well with blinkers on for new stable. Loses T Berry but claim is very significant staying in Highway and maps to get all the favours again today.

R5 n10 ALABAMA FOX Leads and controls on map. 4 up of 14 days drops 1.5kg out to 1500m (+100m). Last start was off 59 days and FM BM78 Randwick -went forward wide and was used up early there on a fast tempo. She then had a huge 400-200m split (went too early) before tiring late for 2nd to Amplify beaten 1.4L. Sets up so much fitter today off that out to 1500m and gets map control for Z Lloyd with light weight. Keen she wins.

Last start resumed (Ex Godolphin now with M Freedman) off 146 day spell 3/4YO BM64 Canterbury sat 4th early in 1/1 position 3L off leader on a very fast tempo. Race rated highly and there was no resting over the L800m there. Loses T Berry but gets map favours today out to 1400m up on speed after scratchings. Keen she controls this race today.

Went back early from wide draw 7L off leader on a very slow tempo and ran 5th beaten 2.7L by Kings Secret. Had a huge 400-200m split there yet still closed off with race fastest L200m-that is very hard to do and it was a great return. Excellent 2nd up form and gets map/control today.

R9 n2 HAWKER HALL Leads on map. 3rº up off 27 days and won recent 845m trial Wyong Dec 23. Rises 7kg but back to BM78 class stays at 1100m. Last start BM88 Rosehill began fast led and controlled on a slow tempo and was too strong late for Crepe Myrtle (very smart) winning by 0.4L. Race rated strongly off the back of a high quality L600m figure. Back to BM78 class and gets map control with this jockey which is a big plus.

Has won this track and distance and has huge closing speed and really like H Coffey riding. Draws inside and will be back on map but he can swamp these late and win.

R8 n1 HOLYMANZ Maps forward behind the speed. 4* up off 27 days and ran 4* recent 1000m jump out Cranbourne Dec 22. Last start Werribee Cup sat 7h early 6L off leader on a very fast tempo and was strong late. Figures from race were good and he is unbeaten this track distance (2/2) winning this race last two years. Gets M Dee back aboard today who knows him well and very well suited.

R10 n12 BOTANICAL BOY MF on map and suited thee late this tempo. 4th up off 22 days drops 2kg and stays at 1400m. Last start BM62 this track sat back off MF 4L off leader on an even tempo and charged home late winning impressively by 2.5L-his L400m figure off that tempo was excellent winning softly on the line. Lightly raced 4YO from top stable and is a dominant dry track closer suited here late and J Mott back riding today is a plus.

Big gap back to 3rd horse there and race rated highly. Her closing figures there were outstanding. Really talented filly and better than these.

That race was run fast from start to finish so his effort there was strong off a 28-day break going at that pace. Stuck to his task bravely in straight when 2nd beaten 1.4L. Back to 1600m today is interesting from leading stable but he has high quality closing speed off slow tempos like this and Z Lloyd a key here.

Margin there was unfair, he closed off strongly late and should have won. He was off 40 days there and sets up much better today away from the inside.Very well weighted under these weight conditions.

Last start 3/4YO BM68 WFarm sat 2nd early on a very fast tempo out to 1400m when 2nd to Frosty Girl (smart) who had her back in the run in a high rating race with a gap back to 3r°. Map suits and she is best horse this race with very strong late closing speed, looks the winner.

Lot fitter today on the back up and gets map favours up on the speed. He is well proven winning off fast tempos out to 1500m and finds the right race here.

Didn’t have the blinkers on there and now back to his preferred 1000m trip off a great draw with his blinkers back on. His last two wins with then on over 955m-1000m have been excellent. Sustained pace up front and breaks their hearts late. Looks so well suited to repeat that back to BM90 off the freshen up. Keen he wins.

Race rated well and her L600m figure off that tempo was outstanding closing off with 2nd fastest L200m of meeting. She couldn’t have done much more there. Proven 2’d up sets up ideally off this map today with 53kg and overnight rain a real plus for her.

Dryer track and back to 1110m with that race experience looks ideal up on the speed here.

He surprisingly led and controlled there on an even tempo winning easily by 2.9L in track record time. Race rated highly closing off with 7*h fastest L200m of meeting. Huge win even allowing for a lightning fast track – proven 2’° up and very well weighted under these conditions. Keen he wins.

Was entitled to sprint home fast there off that tempo but maps great today and well suited out to 1200m. Well placed at set weights and keen he wins. Any rain a bonus for him.

Last start resumed off 134 days Class 3 Cranbourne drew wider in small field sat back off MF 6L off leader/winner on a slow tempo. Ran home strongly late for 5th beaten 2.5L by Chest Of Gold. He had a race dominant L200m figure. It is impossible to run home any better at that track. Lightly raced talented young stayer in great stable and any rain a genuine plus for him. Keen he wins.

R6 n2 ROYAL FLARE Positive early to be on speed. 2nd race start off 33 days and led/won recent 1000m jump out Caulfield H Nov 20 under zero pressure. Last start on debut here 1200m Maiden on H9 track drew outside in smaller field crossed quickly to sit on speed under a hold but he was 3 wide there no cover on a very fast tempo. He was way too strong late despite that winning by 1.8L from Cooly who won well Caulfield next start. Race rated strongly and his L400m figures off that tempo were excellent. Very talented 4YO keen he wins and any rain will only help.

R8 n9 PARTY CRASHER Positive early to be on speed. 3rd up off 32 days drops 1kg and stays at 2000m. Last start BM80 Flemington S6 track was 2nd up drew outside sat back midfield 7L off leader on an even tempo before winning narrowly. Race rated well and he will be so much fitter/better today off that 3rª up. Keen he wins off a good on speed map. Any rain is a real bonus for him.

He was really brave late for 4th beaten 1.8L by Guerite. Race rated well and his effort was excellent. He was wide run prior Bendigo beaten 1L by the same horse. Gets a lot better map today and E Brown is a great riding change. Confident he can win.

R7 n1 MYTEMPTATION – 4th up suited back to 1200m and ready to peak. C Williams a massive riding change -this horse flies for him and he will be positive early from wider draw to be on the speed. Last start Ararat he closed off late with 3rd fastest L200m of meeting behind Run Harry Run beaten 0.3L. Both runs prior was wide and had excuses. Great set up today and looks the winner.

He kept fighting hard late despite being barbecued up front early beaten 0.9L by Luskaire. Race rated highly but gets a lot more moderate tempo up front today. Like him getting back onto a softer track and keen he controls this race up front today and wins.

R7 n3 ZEALOUSLY – 3’d up off 35 days rises 1kg and stays at 1000m. Last start Group 2 Caulfield when 2nd up off a course record win resuming off 119-day spell. Crossed early and sat 2nd outside leader on an even tempo (4.4L faster to 600 than last run) and tried very hard late when 3rd to Rey Magnerio beaten 0.7L. He had a 6kg weight pull on the winner but the race rated very highly, and his effort was rock solid. S5 rating today is ok for him, he should lead and win.

R8 n1 GRINGOTTS – 4th up off 18 days drops 1kg and stays at 1600. Last start Listed Randwick S7 track (62kg) sat back 4L off leader inside on an even tempo and was in restricted room until the 100m and then exploded late to win easily by 1.2L. Race rated strongly and he closed off with 3rd fastest L200m of the meeting. Class above these horses – loves 1600m and soft track no issue for him.

R1 n5 TOO MANY THOUGHTS – has come back a better horse this time in. Resumed with a nice win at this track over 1200m and can only be much fitter for it, maps perfectly from the inside gate and will take plenty of beating.

R2 n1 BEAU WITNESS – is a track specialist who loves these short course races with speed on. His only bad runs come when they put him up over 1200m or further – the 1000m off 4 weeks is ideal. He has a big weight but deserves it against these, will sit off the hot speed and round them up late to score.

R6 n18 DEFYING – resumes from a spell. Was an ex-NSW horse with only average form down there but looks to have improved significantly judging by its recent trials. Shouldn’t be too far off the speed early and in what is an extremely thin race, is worth an each way play at the odds.

Last start Group 3 Flemington 2nd up for new stable (ex-Price/Kent) sat back 5L off leader and buried way there on a very slow tempo (unsuited). Not clear until 300m and charged late for 6th beaten 2L (should have finished closer) by Caballus and closed off with 2nd fastest L200m of meeting. That is now two excellent runs for new stable -he is a very talented horse when right. Loves 1100m and maps to win today.

L400m figure was excellent and looks well suited out to 1600m on the bigger track ridden closer off the good draw with J Collet a very positive riding change. Keen she wins.

R10 n14 BRAVE ONE Maps 4th in 1×1. Last start resumed off 119 days and one soft trial BM78 Randwick S7 track with 61.5kg. Sat 3L off them early in 1/1 on a very slow tempo and ran home fast late when 2nd to Pokerjack who led and controlled. Run on horses had no hope that race but he closed off strongly late with 6th fastest L200m of meeting. Nice horse with majority of his form on wet tracks but is well suited with 54kg off this map/tempo. Lot fitter today and keen he wins.

R6 n1 DARTH INVADER On a tough night for specials, Darth Invader is a clear standout but unfortunately the best price on offer of $1.80 reflects that. He’s an ex-Victorian who showed speed at his first start in Qld at this track and fought on well for 2n° behind the promising Dr Farthing (has since raced well in a strong race at Ipswich). Will offset the wide gate with his early pace and be much too strong for this lot.

Gets blinkers on today and a very fast early tempo- she will charge over the top of these late off that and win.

Resumed off longer 224-day spell Listed Ascot drew inside sat back 5th inside 5L off leader on a very fast tempo- they really ran along hard there early in that race. She got to the front close to line but was nailed late by Rope Them In (very good since in Group 3 race). Race rated highly and she just tired very late off that tempo. Proven 2nd up -she will lead here and win.

R8 n1 TALKANCO 4th up off 11 days drops 2kg and look suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start Listed Ascot sat 3rd early on an even tempo and was held up early in straight and had to charge late for 2nd narrowly beaten by Playin’it Sweet. Race rated strongly and she closed off strongly L200m off that tempo. Will eat up the 1600m today off a great map inside behind the speed and keen she wins.

R9 n11 LUANA 3rd up off 14 days and well suited out to 1200m (+100m). Last start when 2nd up sat back MF wide with cover 5L off the leader on a fast tempo and just launched in the straight off that set up winning impressively by 1.8L. Race rated highly and her L600m figure off that tempo was again outstanding. We got $5 this filly last start when declared as a special- we won’t get that today but she will be winning again.

Drew wider sat 2nd OSL on a slow tempo (suited) and never looked like losing winning by 1.2L off a perfect run and ride. Race rated only plainly overall but he will be fitter and better today after that. Loses M Rodd but the claim today is significant staying in BM70 class.

Last start when 3rd up staying at 1000m EFarm BM70 was slow away sat back 9th inside 6L off leader on a fast tempo and was still 8th at 200m but unleashed late winning impressively by 0.3L over Barberry Spur who is talented. Race rated well and his L600m figure off that tempo was excellent. Loves EFarm and he can win this late off this tempo.

R10 n2 BOOMTOWN BOSS Back near last on map. Resumes off 157-day spell and three trials. Ran 6th most recent 1000m EFarm beaten 4.1L by Vodka Martini. He was under a good hold there late and had plenty to offer if ever let go. Very good fresh horse, he was huge late resuming last prep 1200m this track off a slow tempo – his L600m figure there was freakish. Will be back on the map with the weight but is a classy horse and well suited late off this tempo.

R2 n2 SABAJ,Forward to be off MF with cover. Last start resumed off 175 days Group 3 Randwick drew inside sat back 6L off leader on a slow tempo. He was then held up until the 100m in straight and charged late for 6th to Linebacker beaten 3.6L. Race rated highly and his L600m figure considering the above was outstanding closing off with 8th fastest L200m of meeting and should’ve finished closer. Never been on a wet track but this map suits now.

R3 n15 BIG SWINGER Forward on map and suited. Resumes off 161-day spell off three excellent trial/jump outs. Ran 4th recent 1000m trial Caulfield Oct 30 in a strong heat when closed off powerfully late inside- he could have won that trial easily. Genuine talent and sets up great today with C Williams. He has huge closing speed late in his races and real X-factor about him.

Drew outside crossed early to sit 2nd on a slow tempo and was strong late winning impressively by 1.2L closing off with excellent L200m figure after being pressured early from the 600m. Lightly raced 5YO mare proven on the soft and still very much on the up prep wise. Keen she wins again.
