R1 n4 HEDGED – Resumes off 160 days and two jump outs – most recent Cranbourne 800m led and won brilliantly reverse way of going which would suggest a possible Sydney campaign for him after today’s race. Huge L600m last start before spell at Sandown 1000m off a VS tempo (J Kah rode him first time) and overall figures are good for here. Maps well behind the leader and looks the winner.

R2 n2 YOUNG WERTHER – 2nd up off 28 days drops 1kg out to 1800m (+200m). Really well suited back to Flemington and out to 1800m. Pulled up lame post-race resuming off 63 days at Caulfield (he never races well there either) after a brilliant trial at Geelong Jan 30. Last start at Flemington three runs back was beaten 1.9L in Group 1 Champions Stakes and was held up at 400m! Figures are enormous here on dry tracks and he has been a totally different horse since wintering in QLD 2023-his form since then is lengths better than these. Maps so well in front on a slow tempo and looks too well placed this weight scale. Clear top pick.

R5 n1 IMPERATRIZ – 2nd up off 21 days rises 1.5kg out to 1200m (+200m). Hard to tip against this mare- her two main dangers today are racing each other up in Sydney in Canterbury Stks today and although she has to carry the 58kg in a Hcp here the slow tempo will give her every possible chance to do just that. Leads/controls again and is the horse they will all have to run past to be winning.

R7 n3 AMENABLE – Resumes gelded off 147 days and two jump out wins have been brilliant. VG win fresh last prep 1400m with outstanding L600 off a VS tempo. Then was 5th to Mr Brightside in Group 1 Memsie next run when held up at 400m beaten 2.3L- he had Alligator Blood and I Wish I win in front of him there, but he still had race dominant closing figures. That is not easy to do at that level after being held up. That is clearly the best Aust form this race and he is a clear top pick. He is a Group 1 horse.

R3 n10 CANBERRA LEGEND 2nd up off 14 days out to 2000m (+100m). Resumed 4th Rosehill Soft 6 (suited) behind More Felons when wide no cover and very brave late- he just kept coming to the line there in a great return. 2nd up 14 days later could be a challenge for him coming off such a tough run resuming, but he did trial very well prior. Gets K McEvoy back aboard today which is a plus and will be forward on map in lead group. Clear top pick.

R5 n3 STRAIGHT CHARGE 2nd up off 14 days drops 1kg out to 1200m (+100m). Resumed and handed lead early 1100m Rosehill and was never going to be run down late. His closing figures there were high class of that tempo and will improve a lot fitness wise 2nd up today out to 1200m. Really good colt who leads inside on map and very hard to beat again.

R6 n1 PRIVATE EYE 2nd up off 21 days stays at 1000m. Resumed Flemington 1000m on slow tempo and enormous run behind Imperatriz (gave her 2.5kg and beaten on the line). His closing figures there off the soft tempo were typically elite. Stays at 1000m 2nd up and will get back to last on map early but fast tempo up front should see him run over the top of these late and win.

R7 n6 ESPIONA 2nd up off 21 days out to 1300m (+300m). Resumed in Lightning behind Imperatriz and enormous late off a slow tempo beaten 0.7L at $26, Her L600m there was as fast as you will see them go – she rocketed late. Her 2nd up stats are very good and out to 1300m has to suit on the dry track. Will get back on map early but fast tempo and small field suits her late today- she will make her run home with Think About It and she does have a race fitness advantage over him.

R8 n1 MILITARIZE 2nd up off 21 days rises 1kg out to 1600m (+200m) Resumed 2nd to Fangirl when sat 6th off a fast tempo and strong late with Think It Over 3rd (won since). His closing figures there off a fast tempo were 2nd best of meeting in a great return. That form line is clearly superior back to 3YO grade today and maps inside 3P back. Was enormous winning Golden Rose 2nd up last prep 1400m and clear top pick today with map advantage over Celestial Legend.

Drops 5kg stays at 1100m and loves the straight track off a short break. Last start drew inside (big adv that meeting) and won in good figures. L600m was very good off that early tempo for the meeting, and she was brave late to win after looking beaten- she is a winner. Has race fitness advantage over these and is clear top pick.

R4 n1 BOLD BASTILLE Leads and controls map inside early 2nd up off 21 days back to 1000m (-100m) which suits. Missed a jump out andhad a virus before last start resuming at Caulfield when led on an even tempo beaten 2.9l at $2.10, pulled up lame post-race so happy to forgive her that loss. Start prior was a devastating win at Moonee Valley in quality figures beating Hayasugi effortlessly. Leads inside on fence back to 1000m and is clear top pick.

R5 n5 MOESHA Well back on map and in outside group 2nd up off 21 days drops 2kg stays at 1100m. Last start 4th to Estriella in high rating race is VG form reference for today. Sat last (10L) off and was in worst part of track yet still ran home very well beaten 5.5L $8-well backed. That’s easily the best form lines for this race today and she looks very hard to beat.

R7 n8 ESTRIELLA Maps well behind lead speed 2nd up off 21 days rises 1.5kg out to 1200m (+100m). Last start resumed Caulfield and destroyed a decent field at 1100m in a very high rating race. Sat 8th there 4 wide with cover and unleashed in straight – L600m outstanding for the meeting so out to 1200m zero issue off that. High quality filly.

R8 n1 RIFF ROCKET Awkward map so will need a good ride this tempo 2nd up off 14 days drops 2.5kg out to 1600m (+200m) which suits. Resumed and won here 1400m sat 8th (8L) on Slow tempo and totally dominant late. Won soft on the line so not sure anything that finished behind him that day can beat him here. L600m closing figures were elite off a slow tempo and out to 1600m on this track where he excels makes him a good bet despite messy map.

RR6 n1 MANAAL, MF on map 3P back outside – VG spot 2nd up off 28 days drops 2kg out to 1200m (+100m). Resumed 1100m Rosehill on fast day – was restrained early from wide draw back 5th (5L) to Lady Of Camelot (good since) and was very strong late. Her closing figures there were with super L600m. She is a class act this filly and out to 1200m today is ideal- will run over the top of these late and win.

R8 n4 LEARNING TO FLY Maps MF on outside with options to run home from there 2nd up off 14 days out to 1400m (+200m). Resumed off 336 days so 2nd up today would have preferred 21 days but she did do a lot of long prep work for her return and had three trials so we shouldn’t see flat run today off that. Resumed went back to 7th (7L) off wide draw and ran home L600m figures were genuine high quality to be beaten on the line by Kimochi. Looked winner there and will be a lot fitter today. Maps a lot better today out to 1400m which will suit her. High class, well-bred and loves Randwick. Clear top pick.

R10 n2 COAL CRUSHER Leads from wide draw early on Fast tempo 2nd up off 14 days rises 2.5kg out to 1300m (+100m). Resumed and VG 2nd to King of Sparta beaten 0.4L with blinkers off Soft 5 which suited him. Sat 2nd there 5L off big leader on an event tempo before brave late to hang on for 2nd. Closing figure there L200m was only plain though. Obviously fitter today 2nd up and should control this race from the front today.

R2 n4 TEXAS FIREBALL Leads and controls on map 5th up off 14 days out to 1835m (+235m). Last start went forward inside early and battled on very well late beaten 1.5L at $21 behind Sharp Dazzler. He got a bit lost late when in front in straight and Sharp Dazzler dropped on him late. Start prior led and tough win 1400m super maiden at Grafton but subsequent form from that race has been ordinary. Stable is on fire and gets Orman today, huge switch from M Harley, plus a positive map so very competitive again today. I have no issues with him out to 1835m off this map.

R4 n6 OAKFIELD WALLABY Maps very well 3rd fence on leaders back 5th up off 24 days drops 1kg back to 2206m (-194m). Brings the different form lines to this field and K Lees stable are deadly in bringing the “right” horse to Brisbane for Saturday class races. Last start 4th W Farm 2400m sat 8th 12L off leaders on FAST tempo (winner there won again Wednesday) and kept running home late from there beaten 3.7L in high rating race. Start prior got too far back (13L off lead) Kenso 1800m beaten 2.5l into 4th. Those two fast races are lot better than today and while she may be a little one paced, she does map a lot better map today. Clear top pick.

R8 n5 MILLANE Maps well MF inside 3P back this tempo 2nd up off 14 days rises 1kg stays at 1200m. Resumed off 91 days gelded last start here 1200m BM78 Soft 7 sat back 6th (5L) with a dominant close – L600m figures home were excellent. Faster speed early today is sure to suit him lot better and both runs this track have been excellent. Genuine talent and now gelded we might get to see the best of him. Clear top pick.

R10 n9 OCEAN ZAR Back last inside on map is never ideal but tempo up front suits her late 3rd up off 24 days out to 1600m (+200m). Last start when 2nd up here BM65 (rubbish race) sat back 5th off very slow tempo but far too good late winning by 3L at $1.50. Closing figures there off that tempo were dominant for the entire meeting. Lightly raced mare loves Eagle Farm, dry tracks and tempo today is ideal for her late. Better than these.

R2 n7 MIDTOWN BOSS 3rd up off 21 days stays at 1100m off last start 2nd to Rey Magnerio here at $1.80 when was ridden forward (too close for him) on the fast tempo beaten 0.4L late by a swooper. That race rated a dominant best of the meeting figure and despite being run down late his closing figures were still excellent off a fast tempo. 3rd up today on a map where he will roll forward early and get nice run behind average lead speed, he will explode late off that in straight and should be winning. Good horse.

R8 n4 COLEMAN 2nd up off 21 days out to 1200m (+200m) drops 2kg off last start win in lead up race when forward on a slow tempo but raced away to win impressively. The closing figures there were excellent and his L600m for the meeting was elite off that tempo. Out to 1200m today should be no issue off that and I expect the fast tempo today to suit him even better. High class colt who maps best in this race behind strong lead speed and should be too strong late and win.

Was slow out there and traffic issues at 800m before going back inside in straight on a day where you had to be wide and well off the fence. Very good closing figures to be beaten 1.4L and was well backed $3.90. Maps well MF outside 4P back which is ideal spot this tempo and is an emerging horse proven on soft ground.

R7 n6 LADY LAGUNA 5th up off 21 days and drops 1kg out to 1300m (+100m) Proven out to 1300m and map is VG 3rd behind leaders on average tempo and soft track today is ideal. Last start had EPC in run but was dominant late again winning easily and figures were very good off the slow tempo with a huge L600. Super consistent mare with great racing pattern and is so well placed this weight scale today.

R10 n19 GENTLY ROLLED 3rd up off 14 days and is very well placed in BM78 class today after winning Mares BM78 last start with similar weight. Maps MF inside 3P back and suited running home late again. Last start sat 4th inside (track was off inside) and won brilliantly off a slow tempo she was eased down on the line. Was 2nd up there (off 175-day spell resuming run) so will still be improving and fitter today. Has very good closing figures off any tempo and likes the wet. Clear top pick.

Was ridden forward from wide barrier (12) and was quickly beaten in straight off a 28- day break and have to forgive that loss given he was ridden up front on speed first time. Start prior at Gold Coast MM Day was a very impressive winner from the back after a wide run in a good class race and in the meetings best figures. Draws soft inside on map and is very well placed at set weights v these rivals. Should be winning.

R10 n8 SHOPPING ESPIRIT 4th up off 21 days drops 2.5kg off last start 2nd to Jetty (led/controlled) 1600m Eagle Farm beaten 0.8L well backed $2.25. He sat 5th and held up in straight-no clear run until 300m then was very strong to line- closing figures were best for the meeting off the good early tempo. Loses J Orman today as he can’t ride this weight, but he is a horse that seems to run for all jockeys with five different riders having won races on him. Primed to win today off soft draw if he jumps cleanly.

R3 n2 FIERY RING – was racing well without luck prior to last start where he attacked the line for 2nd behind the inform Tattle. Maps nicely behind a solid tempo and can run over the top of these late to score.

R4 n7 DEPTH CHARGE – 1st up for the Currie stable and brings good Victorian form for this race. Was an easy jump out winner in smart time on Tuesday, looks the winner.

R6 n8 ZOU ZOUAMORE – hit the line strongly for 3rd over a mile last start in a stronger race. Her previous form was much better than it reads on paper and will get a nice run just behind the speed, can outsprint these late with the light weight.

R5 n3 WISHLOR LASS Resumes off 105 days off two trials, winning last one very well. Unbeaten at 1400m from four starts and had excuses when beaten first up last prep at 1300m before winning her next three starts in high class figures. D Lane back on today- he knows her so well and maps well leading off this tempo. Looks the winner today.

R10 n13 PUNCH LANE 4th up off 14 days drops 4kg stays at 1400m off brilliant last start win when did have EPC in the run with 60kg but he closed off very well to win easy and his L600m was also good for the meeting. Really progressive horse who maps perfectly again behind the leader and should put paid to this field of inconsistent horse who don’t have the same future he has got.

R1 n2 SWITZERLAND – 2nd race start off 21 days out to 1100m (+100m) off outstanding debut win here slow track when had EPC in run before destroying his rivals late. Really professional young colt and his closing figures at debut
were elite for a young 2YO on debut. He has trialed very well on soft ground and not many of the Snitzels don’t handle affected ground. He will be finishing hard again late out to 1100m and should be winning again – high class colt off debut figures.

R4 n8 WHINCHAT – 2nd up off 17 days drops 5.5kg out to 1300m (+50m) off outstanding resuming win Kenso when raced keen early in front on a fast tempo before really closing the race off well with an outstanding L600 for the
meeting considering the early tempo. Has had barrier issues in the past but looks to be over them now and leads/controls on map today and form is excellent on soft tracks. Looks winner.

R5 n4 BUENOS NOCHES – resumes off 98 days and two trials at 900-1000m so will be ready for the 1200m first up today. Maps well 4th in 1/1 small field. Has the class and overall figures to put this field away today and loves soft
tracks. Off to the Newmarket Hcp after today’s race and should be winning. Perfect race for him.

R6 n5 OLENTIA – resumes off 112 days and two trials. Is unbeaten first up and at 1200m so this race suits perfectly to resume in. Has got booming first up form and figures and loves wet tracks. Her form did taper off last prep after
winning fresh, but she was dominant in both his resuming runs last two preps at BM88 and Group 3 level. That class is way above her rivals today. Maps 3P back on outside- should have the back of Semana in the run and should be
winning from there late today with 54kg.

R7 n8 FANGIRL – resumes off 98 days and two trials. Star mare could argue she should have won last year’s Cox Plate and form/class references do not get any higher in Australia than that race. Obviously prefers dry tracks but
resumed and won Group 1 Winx Stakes here at 1400m in the spring on a Soft 6 so without a track downgrade today’s surface won’t bother her at all. Maps back in field as usual but has electric closing speed and should run over
the top of these late and win.

R10 n9 THUNDERLIPS – 3rd up off 10 days drops 3.5kg out to 1400m (+200m) off last start win when sat 2nd on a fast tempo and sprinted home fast to win BM72 easily on a Soft 6 track. Closing figures there off a fast tempo were high quality and out to 1400m looks no issue off that. 3rd up now fitter again down to 54kg with map control up front on a more sedate speed makes him clear top pick this race.

R4 n5 BLACK ON BEAUTY 2nd up off 28 days rises 2kg staying at 1200m off last start resuming 9th to Emperor BM78 beaten 1.7L after being ridden up from her wide draw to sit 2nd on a fast tempo. Prepared to forgive her there as she was not beaten far on the line when smashed in betting at $2.60 and I like the 28-day break between runs. First prep and 2nd race start off 16 days out to 1600m 2nd race start (+200m) off maiden win at 1350m Slow 7 when sat 3rd fence blinkers first time and took over at the 200m to win by 3.6L at $2.90. He was entitled to win like that off the run he had that day but he did win by 3.6L and they were all bunched up behind him from the 2nd horse back. He destroyed them late with a dominant close and will eat up the 1600m today. Maps mid field right behind the lead
group and should run them down late from there.

He raced keenly early and mid-stages (C Williams will know him so much better having second ride on him today) on that tempo going from 1700-2040m first time this prep and will settle a lot better today with that run under his belt. Gets a 3kg weight swing for a nose defeat and we should see a peak rating off that set up.

Maps back MF on outside 2nd up off 24 days out to 1600m (+200m) which suits. Won when resuming at Sandown BM64 in dominant best meeting figures off an even tempo. His L600 closing speed there was high quality. This tempo suits at 1600m and J Kah can let him wind up out wider off this map, clearly best horse here and will be winning a lot better races in his career than a BM70.

R4 n4 SOUTHPORT TYCOON
2nd up off 14 days and out to 1400m (+200m) which suits. Resumed at Moonee Valley in Open age Group 2 beaten 0.2L by Veight when he did a few things wrong early in race before attacking the line late in very good figures for the meeting. Could argue that he wins that race with better luck. Rises 1.5kg here in what looks a much easier race back to 3YO age group and out to 1400m. We are yet to see him in a race with tempo on up front and when we do I expect we will see a special young horse. Keen he wins today.

R8 n4 ASFOORA Maps great for resuming run off 91 days and has brilliant record this track and distance. Jump outs have been typically Very Good. Will get run of the race here without any issues and from there she will wave goodbye to these in the straight. Top class mare and this is a perfect race to kickstart her campaign.

Forward on map and can lead these or sit on speed. Resumes off 105 days and out to 1100m (+100m) off last start debut win at M Valley 1000m when led and dominated in high rating race winning by 3L. Figures there were

Out to 1300m ideal and only needs clear air in straight to be winning today.

R9 n 8 AMOR VICTORIUS – Leads on map and is a big plus this tempo. 2nd up off 14 days drops 5.5kg out to 1600m (+200m) off resuming win when led and controlled race to beat Estadio Mestalla (won since) in VG figures(career peak) for the day off an even tempo. He just kept running and won very well by 2.7L when well backed. He gets favours up front again on a slow tempo with a light weight and looks extremely hard to beat again.

R10 n3 TINTOOKIE – Maps MF outside 3 pairs back and will unleash late from there today 3rd up off 21 days out to 1200m (+100m). Last start 2nd to Our Kobison (won since) giving him 1.5kg when sat 6th on a very slow tempo and
charged home late beaten 1.2L. Huge L600m there and was even faster home in her resuming win to start the prep also beating Our Kobison. Has to carry 59.5kg v the males today but finally finds a race with tempo up front and is crying out for 1200m. Very hard to beat.

Closing figures there were outstanding for the meeting and dominant for his race. Should have won 1st up here 1110m behind Inasec, has come back very well this prep. Keen he wins.

1350m today is ideal. Prefer dryer track than a Slow 6.

Looks better than these and drops 1kg into an easier race.

R9 n3 RECOMMENDATION 8th up off 26 days stays at 1200m. Maps forward and should get over ok. Race fit and in form and likes this track. Last start 2nd Canterbury behind smart horse in high rating race (best of meeting) is good reference for today. L600m there was outstanding off a fast sectional. Very hard to beat today.

He was keen early and mid-stages of that race. Stays in BM84 class and rises in weight but proven down the straight and should improve lengths off that Geelong run today. Gets back and wider with cover today- nice map for him, he is a beter horse ridden back off a tempo. Can win again.

R4 n4 TIME TO BOOGIE 3rd up off 14 days and stays at 1200m. Last start 3rd here behind Kinloch beaten 0.2L at $2.45. Sat up on speed 2nd up 1200m there on FAST pace and very brave late. Closing figures there off that tempo was Best of Meeting. Leads and controls on map today in what will be a lot slower tempo- short price but looks a safe bet.

R8 n4 STEP ASIDE 4th up off 21 days and out to 1500m (+100m). Maps well MF 3P inside off a slow lead speed is a lot different set up to last start when 3rd to Luvoir 1400m here at $2.25. That horse really broke the field up that day off a very fast lead speed. This horse was just le with too much to do late. His closing figures there off that tempo were outstanding and T Berry is a key jockey change from J Collet. So track form is good and his best form still ahead of him.

R9 n6 OUR KOBISON 2nd up off 14 days and rises 1kg out to 1100m (+100m). Maps very well 3rd fence with leaders back. Resumed 2nd here Jan 6 to Tintookie in high rang race- figures from there were best of meeng. His closing figures and actual strength through the line was outstanding. And it was off only one trial so he will improve lengths off that today. J Mac rides today replacing T Berry and he rode him when winning last prep. No starts on wet tracks but has trialled well on So previously. Clear top pick.

R3 n7 PAYLINE 4th up off 14 days and drops 1kg out to 1300m (+200m) which suits. Map is a bit awkward early for him here he probably goes back to last early. Last start was 3rd at Gold Coast 1100m behind Barassi (very smart) beaten 5.5L when slow away. He had the best L200 of the meeng there coming from 9th. Is still a maiden but this track and distance ideal for him and soer track no issue. Will be very strong late at 1300m in smaller field with any sort of tempo up front. Has a big finish.

R6 n12 SUBSTANTIAL 6th up off 21 days and last start 4th to Grebeni 1600m Randwick. Sat 7th there on a SLOW tempo and finished very well beaten 3L at $8 well backed with Norton bit on. Rises 1.5kg weight but back to 1400m leading is ideal and is very well placed with 55.5kg this weight scale. Yet to win in Australia for Snowden’s and only 3 career wins from 18 starts but does have a 2nd here at 1400m to Anno which would win this race quite easily. Map suits forward on a slow tempo and will get chance to break through today. Overall figures are rock solid for this race today.

R3 n3 OTAGO 2nd race start off 27 days and out to 1400m (+100m) Maps ok just off speed. Was keen early last start before being very strong late winning on debut at Bendigo 1300m when sat 3rd on a SLOW tempo at $2. Margins were VG there, he spread them right out and the form behind him since has been well and truly confirmed. He sprinted really fast there between 400-200m and all the signs are positive for him being an above average talent. Stable have got Aust Guineas aspirations, so he should be putting this field away.

R5 n9 GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS 3rd race start off 18 days with 1.5kg weight drop out to 2000m (+200m). Looks ideal set up that way but gets well back on map but fast early tempo will suit late. Was 1400-1800m last start and very wide on turn when 2nd VG effort. Really promising staying filly- there has been genuine quality in her finish at both runs off both fast and slow speeds. Out to 2000m now a plus this track and McNeill a key jockey change. Very hard to beat today.

R6 n9 FIRE OF ETNA 21d up off 23 days and maps very well 3rd behind the lead speed. Drops 3.5kg weight out to 1600m (+186m) off last start win at Seymour 1414m when got well back and charged late off an even tempo. Had the best L600 for the meeting there and was very strong right through the line. Well suited out to 1600m and the bigger track at Flemington off that run. Has a very big finish and obvious talent.

R8 n2 SGHIRRIPA 5th up off 18 days out to 1200m(+100m) and maps well forward inside, will probably come to middle of the track but will have cover. Was slow into stride last start winning at Caulfield in an outstanding performance. Clear best of meeting figures there off an even tempo with huge closing sectionals from 600m. Totally dominant ratings from last 3 runs for this race and did have similar rating last prep this track when 4th at 1110m June 3rd. Good horse !

R3 n1 PENTHOUSE – Resumes off 203 days and won trial by a big margin (this jockey rode) to prepare for this. Maps to lead and control on the fast tempo. Fast mare with VG overall figures for a Highway and has excellent 1st up stats. Would prefer if this race was 1000m but she did win 1100m fresh last prep crossing and leading from a wide alley beating Dollar Magic when ridden by this jock- that’s a decent form reference for here. Clear top pick.

R4 n11 INFANCY – 3ª up and drops 5kg weight which is significant. Leads inside on this map out to 1300m (+100m). Had excuses post-race resuming and then was held up for clear running 400-150m last start when 3ra behind Chilli Filly 1200m on Slow 6. Had race best closing figures there despite the traffic issues. Nice filly in good stable and K Mac a key jockey change -well suited today back on dry track with 53.5kg off this map.

R5 n7 MRS CHRISSIE – 2ª up off 18 days and leads inside on a fast tempo. Rises 2kg weight out to 1200m (+100m). Sensational 1st up win at Caulfield on Slow 6 track leading on a fast tempo. She had plenty left in reserve on the line there so will improve off that run out to 1200m. Lightly raced 5yo mare that had some barrier issues early last prep (not now) and hasn’t seen a lot of dry tracks so far in her career, but horses just don’t win like she did last start without winning again.

R7 n12 NAVAL COLLEGE – 3rd up off 14 days and maps well this tempo 3rd on speed. Drops 3kgs and stays at 2000m in this stronger class race but will be very HTB with 53kg. Sat 3ª on a Fast speed winning last start in VG figures at 2000m Randwick. Closed that race of very well with a very strong L600 off a fast tempo- a real quality win. Comes out of BM88 into LISTED class here but most of these horses ahead of him in the weights have forgotten how to win. Good map with light weight 3rd up makes him clear top pick again.

R9 n11 UNION ARMY – 3rd up and maps back but will love the fast tempo in this race. K Mac replaces J Collet which is a plus as and may be ridden bit closer from there. Stays at 1200m but was wide and no cover from the 700m last start when 4th at Randwick to Contemporary, sat 8th there off slow tempo at 1200m and very strong home. Also had excuses 1st up, has huge finish and only needs to be close enough in the straight to run these down late.

R10 n2 TESTATOR SILENS – Maps well 4th fence on the leaders back. Rises 1kg weight and stays at 1400m after sitting 4th on FAST tempo running 21d to Luvoir beaten 0.1Lgth. Good close there of a FAST tempo when on 7 day back up. 4th up today and T Sherry replaces R Jones which is a bonus. This is a very winnable race in first full prep for Joe Pride-lightly raced 6YO and should be too good for these.

R7 n3 KING OF SPARTA 4th up off 55 days (trial since) and maps well inside and off speed- looks the spot to be this track for run on horses off last week’s racing pattern. Now 359 days since last win (7 runs) in this race last year for J Mac. Not much luck last start when 2nd at Newcastle behind Coal Crusher who led and is unbeaten this track. Well placed v these as BM108 class horse with 57kg. Prefers dryer tracks but Soft 5 all good. Looks winner.

R8 n1 STORM BOY 3rd race start off 21 days and tougher map forward on speed but has 3 of them drawn inside him- he might press on and lead this stable? Went out over 8 lengths faster at 2d start compared to debut run and was caught wide early. Overall figures from that race weren’t great but he will take plenty of benefit from that run here off 21 days which will have him cherry ripe for today’s target race. Proven at 1200m and on Soft 6 tracks-clearly top pick.

R11 n3 LADY LAGUNA 3rd up off 14 days and gets awkward map back further and wider today compared to EPC run last start. Out to 1300m (+100m) and was held up on turn wining last start when returned best of the meeting figures off a fast tempo. Her close at that meeting off a fast tempo was dominant. I have no concerns about her running the 1300m today off that finish and she was 2rd up there. Peaks today in target race and only needs an ounce of early luck for J Mac to put this field away.

R1 n7 FRETTA 2nd up off 20 days. 4yo mare by Frankel who has won maiden and BM64 at her first two starts on Good tracks and is in the right stable with a strong SP profile. Out to 1700m today (+100m) is a logical progression class and distance wise and she will be posive early on the map and get into a good spot behind the lead group. Had bone chips removed from both knees aer huge maiden win and resumed off 361 days when again dominant late winning at Sandown off a Slow tempo. Looks progressive- not many of her rivals are and clear top pick.

R6 n9 REY MAGNERIO 7th up off a 56 day freshen up and jump outs have been very good. Very talented emerging sprinter who is well placed in BM84 class with 56.5kg. Blinkers went on start of this prep and his form has just kept getting better. Won 4 of last 6 starts all on different tracks and excuses in both losses. 1100m today is ideal with pressure on up front and a good map behind that speed- he has been huge late in his races off all tempos. Good horse.

R9 n2 VA VIA 2nd up off 14 days and maps well behind the speed this tempo and will get chance late. Got well back resuming 4th to Noble Soldier 1100m Randwick Slow 5 beaten 2.8L. It was a very slow tempo early for an 1100m race so had genuine excuses and charged late there. Has got some big numbers from last prep in fast run 1100-1200m races and D Lane a key change. Has huge closing figures and well suited today.

R10 n4 YELLOW SAM 2nd up off 14 days and maps very well forward inside right behind the speed. Resumed at Moonee Valley for 3rd to Holly Lolly 1200m at $3.80 off a very slow tempo when held up. It was a so resuming run and she will improve a lot off that for today. Best figures last prep win this race clearly- she ran into very slow run races all prep but had huge closing figures in BM84 class- lot stronger than today. She looks better than these.

R4 n1 TERRA MATER 3rd up off 28 days and overcame difficulties to win here last start at 1200m BM72 at $2.05. Rolls forward early on map and should get nice run behind the leader on this tempo. Closing figures were high class last start despite the traffic problems. Won both starts this prep but sll have plenty of improvement le in here. Nice mare.

R5 n5 RUNNING BY 3rd up off 21 days and won well last start despite narrow margin at Caulfield 1400m BM78 at $1.70. Went out very fast there early, almost 10L faster than previous start and that took her out of her comfort zone as she was 2nd up – was very brave to actually win that race. Off 21 days here and out to 1500m is perfect on a lot more sedate tempo. All her figures are very good and looks winner this class.

R7 n9 COOL JAKEY 3rd up – blinkers on last start when ridden to lead and won easily BM72 60kg. Not much luck resuming for Joe Pride prior (ex M Newnham). Gets weight drop to 53kg(-7kg) but does jump sharply in class to BM88. Lightly raced 6 starts and every one of them he has recorded good figures- talented horse capable of handling the class rise here. Emerging young horse suited out to 1400m with light weight and great map.

R10 n13 SPRING LEE 3rd up 11 days and back to 1100m (-100m) from last start 2nd to Chilli Filly BM64 at $2.50 beaten 0.6L. Raced keenly 2nd up there early and mid-stages 2nd up and beter suited back to 1100m race with tempo. Was VG winning resuming at Kembla off a FAST Tempo at 1000m when smashed in beng $1.70. Her closing figures there off that tempo was a sign of her quality. Her maiden win last prep before a spell at Gosford was best figures for the meeng and she had horses like Bojangles well behind her there. Convinced she is up to this race and maps well behind the speed.

R3 n1 ARABIAN SUMMER 4th race start off 28 days and leads on map of the raced horses. Could take a sit right on Moulin Miss Back if she wants to lead that badly. Had excuses at Flemington in high rang 2yo race during Cup carnival when 3rd beaten 2L by Karavas. Then went to Ballarat on a So 5 track and led and destroyed a field by 3.5L with Parkour in second. She led there on a very slow tempo so today is going to be a lot different for her that way out to 1100m but her closing figures were high class. Looks winner today.

R6 n2 DIMITROV 2nd up off 17 days and out to 1400 suits off VG resuming run gelded on Heavy 9 track at Warwick Farm at $3. Had the XONB off there and was awkward away and lost ground and never really comfortable on the Heavy track. All his figures are VG and is a lot beter than maiden class. Map is his only concern today but has C Williams and tempo up front so he can sort that out for us.
