R2 n9 WEIGALL TIGER Maps well in behind what looks like a fast tempo 2d up off 15 days and drops 1kg out to 1350m (+50m). Resuming and drew inside alley and was easy late in betting for 3ra beaten 1L. His closing figures were very good.3YO v older horses today but he has come back in great shape. Really like him out to 1350m and off a fast tempo- I am confident that will bring out the best in him and happy to have him on top today.

R5 n11 GRINGOTTS Maps great 4th off fence 3rd up off 21 days out to 1600m (+200m). Has really come back in consistent form and has become the horse we all thought he would be from when he was a younger horse. Last start backed off the map and far too good winning Tamworth Cup in meeting best figures with an outstanding L400m off an even tempo. Run prior resumed Rosehill 1400m drew wide and raced wide without cover on a fast tempo and far too good BM88 smashed late in betting there. Has won only start at in huge figures as a 3YO on Soft 6 track. Keen he wins again today- really nice horse and suited this class race today with 53.5kg and J Kah which is a key riding change.

R8 n1 | WISH I WIN Will be a lot closer on map today that most people expect 21d up off 42 days stays at 1200m. Resumed and huge run on Heavy 8 track Randwick when he went back to last on a Slow tempo and had elite closing sectionals to run 3ra beaten 0.3L well backed at $4.20. He is just an elite horse- arguably the best sprinter on Australia and sets up perfectly for this race today after missing the heavy track racing in Sydney over the autumn carnival since he resumed. Maps perfectly behind the speed today and will be far too good for these today.

R3 n3 LAZZURA 21a race start off 21 days. Rises 1.5kg back to 1100m (-100m) off debut win Kembla Grange when sat back 7th early off a fast tempo and unleashed late to win. Her closing figures there were excellent and 2” horse from that race was very impressive winning at Kenso on Wednesday. Not the best set up here back in distance off that and she was $31 winning there which is almost unbelievable for a well-bred filly with her talent from this stable. Has a genuine challenge today to run Toque down late off this set up but on this track she will get her chance to unleash that powerful finish again. She looks capable of coming to Brisbane for the better class 2YO races over the winter carnival if she does.

R4 n8 UNUSUAL LEGACY Maps 4th inside on leaders back out to 1700m off soft draw 2nd up off 21 days (spell was 78 days). Rises 2.5kg out to 1700m (+200m) which suits. Resumed sat 5th Rosehill on a very slow tempo and not much room in the straight late beaten 0.9L. He charged home there once clear with the 3rd fastest L200m of the meeting. Proven out to 1800-1900m won very well 2a up last prep and is an emerging 4YO stayer in the right stable.

R9 n1 AMENABLE Great map 4th in 1/1 4th up off 28 days rises 1kg back to 1300m (-100m). Last start 2nd Randwick Group 1 on Heavy 10 track behind Magic Time beaten 0.4L is the main reason he is so high in the markets for today. Gelded this prep and all three runs/figures have been good. Great map and on past form/figures he has to be clear top pick today.

R2 n11 MIRZANN Maps well behind speed from soft draw 2nd up off 14 days (spell was 190 days). Drops 6.5kg coming out of BM70 up to BM84 today out to 1800m (+100m) – would have preferred out to 2000m at a minimum. French import in leading stable who resumed Caulfield 1600m with gear changes, drew soft and sat 6th on a very fast tempo -ran home for 21ª beaten 0.8L by Cadmus when heavily backed at $6. Proven out to 3000m so 21ª up here off 14 days is some concern but market support when resuming is always a key indicator of class in an import from this stable and D Lane riding with 54.5kg is a huge plus. Softer track today is ideal for him and keen he wins.

R7 n6 STEPARTY Great map for him this tempo forward inside off a fast tempo. Resumes off 113-day spell and won 800m trial Horsham May 6 by 2.25L. He was keen to run in that jump out but was very strong on the line. All his figures are very good, and he has a super consistent overall record. 3YO taking on older horses but proven down straight and is unbeaten on Slow tracks- ideally placed today.

R1 n4 PEREILLE – Ideal map mid field and outside resuming off 70-day spell and two trials. Only 3 wins from 15 starts but has been placed 14 of his 15 career starts and is very well placed in a BM85 grade today. This track will suit his racing pattern where he can balance up midfield and charge home late down the middle of the track. He has elite closing speed and loves soft ground. Clear top pick here today with J Mac back aboard him.

R3 n11 TOJAKI – Maps well MF on outside- ideal spot today on this tack off a fast tempo. 4* up off 21 days drops 2kg stays at 1400m. Really strong 4YO mare trained on this track by leading local trainer. Last start sat 7* on a fast tempo and destroyed a Class 6 field late to win by 3.5L heavily backed at 1400m Slow 5. She seems to have matured now and is unbeaten at this track with 1400m being her ideal distance and is well suited on soft tracks. This is her toughest test to date but keen she is up to winning a race like this today with 53kg.

R1 n1 IMPERIAL FORCE – Will be positive early from the wide draw and will be on speed today at 3rd race start off 24 days and had a nice quiet tick over trial at Rosehill May 2 to keep him up to the mark fitness wise for today. That trial will be very beneficial on the wet track today. Rises 1kg back to 1200m (-50m). Has been very good both runs and looks an above average colt. Last start sat up on a fast tempo from the outside barrier draw and drew right away late to win by 3.8L – he spread that field right out margins wise. The second horse from that race was since very good last Saturday at Hawkesbury. Unknown on wet tracks but not many of the breed don’t handle it and looks very talented.

R5 n9 SCARLET OAK – Maps very well from soft draw 3rd race start off 21 days rises 2.5kg out to 1600m (+200m). Last start (first for Waller ex NZ trained) sat 5th off a very slow tempo and closed off very well late on a Heavy 9 track for 2d beaten 3.8L by a swimmer that day. She was very well backed at $4.80 there despite coming from a NZ maiden into a Group 3 race. Sure to be improved by that run and sets up well today out to 1600m and back to BM72 class off a great map. Wet no issue.

R6 n4 GOLDMAN –  Maps very well on speed here from inside draw 2d up off 21 days (spell was 182 days plus two trials) rises 1.5kg out to 2200m (+200m) which suits him. Last start was excellent resuming at 2000m and ridden forward on a very fast tempo that suited the run on horses. He was very brave late beaten 2.3L by Huertor and more importantly was well backed at $5.50. He had a forgettable 4 start spring campaign but prior to that was awesome in his first three runs in Aust for Waterhouse/Bott- with his figures from there being elite. Loves wet tracks and looks clear top pick this race today.

R8 n9 TAVI TIME Maps closer today 3P back inside off this draw 4th up off 28 days. Drops 6kg out to 1600m (+200m) which suits ideally after his three return runs this prep all being at 1400m. Last start drew outside, went right back to 14th on a very fast tempo and closed off well late. Loves soft tracks and overall figures very good for this class of race. Clear top pick running home late if can get away from inside in the straight with

R2 n6 HES BESET Maps well resuming off 168 days and was very strong late in his last jump out. Returned gelded last prep and was very good behind JimmyStar in both runs. Closed off late in both runs – they were his first for N Ryan stable (was an ex NZ horse) His form over there was good with genuine excuses in some of the losses. Perfect race for him resuming today class wise- he just looks better than these and with blinkers on and a good map he should be too good.

R3 n4 OUR RED MORNING Maps closer today off inside draw but still could be 3P back there. 2nd up off 21 days (spell was 189 days). Rises 1kg out to 1400m (+200m) and positive riding change. Last start dew wide went back to last on a fast tempo but had a dominant close late on a Soft 5 track. There was some real quality in her close there and that race was stronger than here today. Her best form is clearly on wet tracks so the overnight rain bringing track to a Soft 6 is perfect for her. I am a fan of this jockey, and he can get her into the clear and she will be too strong from there late.

R4 n2 ELPHINSTONE Maps very well behind leaders from inside draw 4* up off 14 days drops 1.5kg stays at 1600m. Negative riding change but claim is very important and she is an easy enough filly to ride. Last start drew soft sat 6* on an even tempo but was strong late out to 1600m winning well with the tongue tie on first time. Not sure of overall quality of that race but figures were good (career peak rating) and this race today doesn’t look any stronger. In the zone and only 4th up today from inform stable.

R9 n6 FRIGID Maps very well on speed this tempo 4th up off 21 days stays at 1600m in BM84 class with same weight due to claim. This rider suits this mare and maps well again form soft draw. Last start smashed late in betting ($2.80) sat 5* on a slow tempo and destroyed them late winning easily. Overall figures from race looked only basic but the form behind her that day has been well and truly franked since. She is a lot better mare off a fast early tempo when she settles better and her win here last prep t 2000m was outstanding. Can win again today and soft is a bonus.

Resumed start prior off 160 days won maiden Soft 7 sat 7th powered home late won by 2.3L at heavily backed $1.70. Nice well bred filly first time at 1500m but should be looking for it off last two wins and bred to get further. Proven up to Soft 7 and had a lap on her opposition last two runs and form behind has since been very strong. Clear top pick.

R5 n4 PARISAL – Maps very well 4th in 1/1 resuming off 126 days and two good trials. Led and won most recent at Canterbury 905m Soft 7 by 1.5L. Has got VG first up stats and soft track form is all good. Has won at Group 3 level and did run 2nd to Magic Time in a Group 2 Randwick on Heavy 9 beaten 1.3L by Magic Time. Form doesn’t get a lot better than that for a race like this and all her figures and form stacks right up and maps well to launch late off his tempo.

R6 n5 SHADOWS OF LOVE – Maps very well 4th in 1/1 4th up off 21 days drops 1kg back to 1300m (-100m) which suits better. Last start drew wide went forward on a very fast tempo Randwick Soft 5 and brave late for 3rd to Territory Express which is a super form reference for today. That horse has group class potential. Still only lightly raced 4YO mare with very good overall record- loves wet tracks and sets up perfectly for today.

R7 n1 SCHWARTZ – Maps very well 4* inside on leaders back 3rd up off 21 days out to 1400m (+200m) which suits ideally. Both runs this prep in stronger races have been good. Last start 20d up drew inside 1200m Randwick went back on only an even tempo and tried to finish up inside rail (wrong part of track) and only clear late in straight when race was all over beaten 2.1L. It was a good 2d up run and wouldn’t have knocked him around at all. Has never raced on a soft track but has only had 5 starts so there is some unknown there but is now ready now for 1400m maps great today and was well supported in all early markets. R1 n8 SEASCAPE – Leads inside with pressure up front. 2nd race start off 17 days rises 1kg stays at 1100m. Won Gosford by 4.8L on debut Slow 7 drew outside barrier there crossed led/controlled and way too good. Had an outstanding close there late in that race -well-bred quality filly and destined for lot better races than today.

R6 n1 LETS TRY – Leads fence and suited there 2d up off 14 days (spell was 170 days but had two trials) Stays at 1200m which suits this race shape/tempo today. Resumed Newcastle led on a fast tempo heavily backed $2.60 won by 2.6L in meeting best figure. Had a very strong close there off a fast tempo which is always a sign of quality. Was resuming there off a 3 month ban for bleeding and quite often that can be their best and only high rating of a prep but he was super impressive. Huge 4YO emerging horse that really runs for this jockey.

R8 n10 INOWASTAR – Leads and controls on map 21d up off 28 days (spell was 144 days) no public trial (missed a run last week when race was called off). K Nisbet has first ride on him today and I’m not exactly sure what to think of that. Drops 6kg out to 1500m (+100m) Last start led by big margin on a fast tempo but gassed out late L200m beaten 1L at $9.50. Proven up to BM78 class but today is a step up from that and I am not a fan of this gear change despite what the experts say. He won’t have to lead as fast early this race today with light weight so he is obviously very hard to run

R1 n3 BEWS – Maps back inside but will be ridden closer today off soft draw but will need clear air at some stage in straight. 21d up off 21 days (spell was 147 days) stays at 1200m 2d up. Resumed here Slow 5 (soft suits him) sat 10* on a Very Slow tempo charged late beaten on line at $5. Closing sectionals there were elite- he has a booming finish and if gets clear air in straight will demolish this field late.

R4 n4 EXTRATWO – Maps forward inside behind the leaders 5th up off 14 days rises 2.5kg stays at 1400m back to Fillies & Mares class here. Last start was off 21 days and out to 1400m first time Bendigo and she had her chance on a slow tempo for 2d to Chorlton Lane (very smart horse) beaten 1.5L at well backed $3.60. That’s a great form reference for this race and off 14 days she can be expected to be fitter for the 1400m. Rock solid 4YO mare and horse to beat here.

R5 n4 BERKLEY SQUARE – Gets back on map but will get chance late in race in small field 5th up off 21 days stays at 2000m. Last start slow away and held up in straight off a fast tempo sat 11th Caulfield Group 3 charged late beaten 1.5L at $9-had race dominant close there but subsequent form from race has been questionable. All 4 of his wins have been on wet tracks and it’s now 10 runs since he’s won a race but he won’t get a better chance than today to correct that. L Currie getting back aboard him today is a plus and is very well weighted this weight scale.

R6 n2 MODOWN – MF on map should have back to follow there and run on late. 4th up off 14 days out to 1600m. Last start drew outside barrier Bendigo was slow away went right back early on a slow tempo, then over raced but still ran home late beaten 3L at $17. Closing figures there were huge (Best L400m of meeting) and sets him up ideally for today. His one run at 1600m was ridden upside down leading in a Sandown Guineas and dropped right out late at the end of last prep. Talented 3YO finds right race

R9 n1 DESSENEA -3rd up today and so well suited this race out to 1600m after staying at 1400m when 2d up and ran into a peak rating by a decent horse when 2nd. M Poy gets replaced by W Pike today which is a huge change. 3rd up last prep this horse went on a winning spree once out to this distance. That should happen again today and keen he wins.

R5 n12 SACRED FEELING – 4th up off 14 days stays at 1800m. Maps well MF behind the fast tempo and well suited. Last start here Soft 6 began awkwardly went back on a very fast tempo beaten 1.8L at $2.25 behind Connecticut. Was off 24 days there and 1660 -1820m but she went out way too fast early by her standards- as in 13 Lengths faster to the 600m then the run before. She would have been right out of her comfort zone off that set up and probably explains why she gassed out badly late over the last 200m. She sets up lot better today off 14 days and back on dryer track with blinkers on and J Orman rides first time.

R7 n7 ROCKRIBBED – 2nd up off 14 days (spell was 227 days so 14 days 2nd up is a concern). Drops 6kg but loses R Maloney for young apprentice and stays at 1200m. Maps forward and should get over ok behind leaders. Resumed here Soft 6 with gear changes first run for Gollan stable (ex A Laing?). Led there on a slow tempo so she had her chance at $12 beaten 0.6L. Gets the gun map today and with 51kg is extremely hard to beat here.

R9 n5 PRESS LINK – 3rd up off 35 days and ran 2nd 1000m trial (59.20sec) to Skirt The Law beaten 2.75L April 11. Maps very well 5th inside early on leaders back. Drops 2.5kg out to 1400m (+200m) off last start win here when went back from wide alley sat 7th overpowered them in straight won by 2.5L at $2.50 despite being wide the trip. R4 n1 TANNHAUSER – 4th up off 14 days out to 200m (+400m). Maps MF inside 4P back and will need clear air in straight from there- maybe J Mac gets him a pair closer and onto the leaders back. Last start went back to last on a very fast tempo held up at 400 and charged late beaten 0.9L $14. His L600 there was excellent and his final 200m was huge off the very fat tempo for the meeting. Clearly ready for 2000m off that and perfect race for him today. Looks winner.

R5 n7 FRONT PAGE – 2nd up off 28 days no public trial since. (Spell was 133 days so 28 day 2nd up suits) Leads and controls on average tempo so well suited today this map and slow track form is excellent. Rises 3.5kg coming out of Group 1 Galaxy Rosehill Good 4 when 3rd beaten 0.3L so incredibly well placed this weight scale. Out to 1200m (+100m) suits 2nd up. Led on an even tempo there but was very fast between the 1000-600m and still looked winner in straight but grabbed on line as he gassed out late. Unbeaten this track and distance leading and controlling on slow tempos which he gets again today. Impossible not to have him clearly on top here.

R9 n12 JIMMYSTAR – 4th up off 43 days and no public trial since. Maps back on outside 6P back near last. Rises 2.5kg stays at 1400m off last start unlucky loss Newcastle when cluttered away in a very slowly run race beaten 4.2L. He has huge closing speed this horse which will be required again today off this map but fast tempo up front will suit him late. If they can run home late this track and we will have some prior runners to confirm that earlier in this meeting (R2 Rapbidash, R6 New Energy, R7 Broadsiding, R8 Espiona) Jimmy can win this race easily. He is the best horse in the race but we will need that pattern to be ok before backing him.

R1 n1 PERSPIRATION – 3rd up off 14 days rises 1kg. Just needs to get over behind the speed without being caught wide and map will be ok. Last start 2nd Caulfield Slow 5 1200m when began awkwardly got back on a slow tempo and charged late beaten 0.5L. Dominant close there for race and meeting- he really built up the revs over the L200m. Debut run prior at Kenso ran 2nd to a very smart 2Y0 at 1000m when again closed off hard off a very slow tempo- his L600m there was excellent. Maps well today and should run right over the top of these late and be winning.

R7 n3 SEA WHAT I SEE – 5th up off 21 days rises 2.5kg stays at 2000m. Maps well behind what looks like a fast tempo. Last start Flemington BM80 was held up 500m off an even tempo but strong when clear inside in the straight and won by 2.3L. Closing figures there were ok but not as fast as they looked visually. Having a super prep though and putting margins on fields in most races is always a great sign. Up to 59kg today but looks hard to beat again.

R4 n3 CHINNY BOOM 5th up off 35 days and no public trials since. Rises 2.5kg out to 1200m (+100m) off last start win Gold Coast when sat 4th won by 0.8L at $1.45. Won last start off a perfect run and ride off an even tempo in only plain overall figures but she did close off in fastest L200m for the meeting. That track at Gold Coast that day was disgusting so not sure what that actually means for today anyway. All prior runs this prep excellent including 2nd here to Lady Laguna beaten 0.8L when wide trip on a fast tempo and held up top of straight. That run wins this race by lengths. Clear top pick.

R5 n14 SIMPLY REFUSE Maps inside 3P back 4th up off 10 days drops 1.5kg off last start 2nd here to Aswaat when sat 8th ran home late beaten 0.4L at $5. Went right back there after being slow away on a very slow tempo but closed off very well with 8th fastest L200m of the meeting. Lightly raced well bred mare that is yet to see a fast tempo in her career (6 starts) but has always been strong late regardless. Gets fast speed up front today and a good map so expect her to explode late over the top of these and win today.

R7 n10 TORABELLA Leads and controls on slow tempo at 3rd race start off 31 days drops 3.5kg back to 1350m (-310m). That is not normally a good set up off 31 days/no trial but she still looks to get control of the speed and lead these. That would give her a real edge this field today. Both wins in weaker class she has led on even tempos and she has closed off both well on good and soft ground. They will obviously be aiming her at better staying races over the winter carnival which would explain the 31-day break and this race looks a very good race to kick off that campaign

Resumed Rosehill sat 2nd ran 2nd beaten 0.5L by Brave Mead at $6 when easy late in betting and closing figures there only plain. He was way too keen fresh that day and will improve a lot off that today 2nd up. Drying track a plus for him and proven out to 1400m. Quality colt sure to be suited off this tempo- he is yet to race in a fast race and will charge late today off this map.

R8 n8 VIA SISTINA Maps perfectly MF and OS 3P back away from the heat 2nd up off 21 days (original spell was 154 days so 21 days is all good). Resumed sat back on slow tempo and powered over the top of them late winning Rosehill 2000m Good 4 by 1.2L at $2.30 and was smashed late in betting. That race was run at a crawl speed (today’s won’t be) but her closing figures were off the chart. She has an outstanding record at 2000m in some of the world’s best races and it is very hard to see how she doesn’t actually improve today with a guaranteed fast tempo to chase and natural fitness improvement. Has outstanding 2nd up stats in UK also clear top pick today.

R9 n2 ZOUGOTCHA Maps very well 4th inside on leaders back 3rd up off 28 days and no public trial since. Out to 1600m (+100m) off last start win Rosehill Slow 6 Group 1 HDCP when brave late to win by 0.3L off a perfect run and ride. She gave them all weight there and was still too good. Draws inside again here which should ensure another very economical map against what looks a stronger field today but loves Randwick. High quality Group 1 mare so well suited at WFA.

R10 n4 TASHI Maps very well 6th outside 3P back 5th up off 21 days rises 1kg stays at 1200m. Last start 2nd Rosehill to Chain Of Lightning when sat 7th ran home hard late for 2nd beaten 0.7L at well backed $6.50- could argue she should have won that race which is a great reference point for today. She had 4th fastest L200m of meeting- which was excellent. Prior to that won here BM88 Good 4 beating Pereille and Our Kobison which again is very strong form lines for this class of race. R3 n12 SACRED FEELING 3rd up off 24 days drops 2kg out to 1820m (+160m) which suits her. Last start went back on slow tempo BM65 here at 1660m and was very strong late for 2nd but well beaten 4L at $1.30. Was never really a chance of winning that race tempo wise and much better suited out to this distance on the bigger track. Placed both runs on soft tracks and bred to handle heavy conditions. Looks clear top pick and maps well midfield outside which is a perfect spot for her this tempo/track.

R6 n3 FLAG HALL 2nd up off 28 days (129-day spell) and ran 2nd Gold Coast 1050m trial March 28. Resumed Ipswich in weak Class 2 led and won easily 3.7L at $1.40, had trialed very well leading into that. Carried 57.5kg in that inferior race and 58kg here out to 1200m (+100m) which suits. Soft track form is very good but no runs yet on heavy tracks. Draws nicely to be on speed and control again today.

R9 n4 BROOKHAVEN Gets well back on map but fast tempo here suits and if track pattern is allowing run on horses to get their chance, this map will suit nicely today. 3rd up off 14 days out to 1600m (+200m) which suits off last start win in Class 3 with same weight as here. Sat 6th too strong late there won by 1.9L at $6. (Wet form inconclusive 4 runs on Soft Heavy 0-0-2) Had very good form at 1600m as a 3YO last prep and well suited today out to this distance despite wide draw. Best horse clearly in this race.

R6 n9 TOUCH OF GRACIE – ran a nice 3rd behind the promising Majestic Boom at Eagle Farm last start and looks beautifully weighted in this race, won at this track 4 runs back and looks the winner.

R2 n3 MIDTOWN BOSS Well back outside on map 5th up off 22 days back to 1100m (-100m) of last start 2nd to Johnny Rocker beaten 1L at Moonee Valley. He finally returns to a straight track race at Flemington, and all figures this prep have been excellent despite three second placings at his last three runs. Keen he wins today drawn out wide with Zahra to make his run late off a fast tempo.

R6 n12 SEA WHAT I SEE Maps well forward on this tempo with Blake Shinn aboard 4th up off 17 days and drops 2kg out to 2000m (+200m) which suits. Last start won Caulfield Fillies & Mares BM70 by 3.8L with a dominant close for the race and won softly on line. Out to 2000m off that a bonus and maps perfectly for B Shinn to be clear top pick again. Just finds the perfect race today with 56.5kg.

R7 n13 ESTRIELLA Forward wider to be with lead group on outside, 3rd up off 28 days. Drops 1kg back to 1100m (-100m) which suits off 28-day break and has race fitness and current form/figures advantage over these and is proven down the straight. She can race forward or back and has Blake Shinn again. Group 1 talent well placed today with 56.5kg and clear top pick.

R3 n6 LINEBACKER Leads inside on map, 2nd race start off 38 days and excellent trial since Rosehill March 18. Debut led on a fast tempo and bolted in at Hawkesbury 1300m Maiden Heavy 8 won by 3.9L at $2.25. 2nd horse there was very good in Sires Produce at Flemington next start behind Traffic Warden and the 3rd horse was 8.4L back. He spaced them in very good figures for the meeting. Exciting young horse who can make it 2 from 2 today.

R4 n3 WYMARK Maps well 4th in 1/1 7th up off 14 days rises 1.5kg out to 2000m (+100m). Last start sat 3rd here bolted in 2.6L at $3.25 Soft track. He may have been suited by soft tracks his last three wins but there has been some quality is those figures and there is zero doubt about him running out a strong 2000m. Was way too good for older horses last start and very hard not to like him again today off this map back against own age.

R9 n17 ANOTHER WIL Maps very well 4th inside on leaders back 4th up off 28 days and very good trial here on March 18. Drops 2.5kg back to 1500m (-100m). Last start won Flemington 1600m BM84 when sat 2nd on an even tempo and exploded late with the fastest L200m of the entire meeting. BM84 to a Groups 3 at Randwick but is an emerging star horse who is well found now price wise but is impossible to tip against him today with 53kg off great map.

R10 n15 WILLAIDOW Forward on map early to be 2nd OSL 4th up off 30 days drops 3.5kg stays at 1400m. Last start 2nd to Territory Express when sat 2nd on even tempo beaten 0.8L by a horse in red hot form. Was 2nd up there off 40 days and a trial so expect him to be fitter today. Best form is on wet tracks but is a VG lightly raced on pace runner in this class of race and overall figures are rock solid this prep. Very hard to beat.

R6 no 9 WUBIN GOLD In great form and did the right thing by us last start and keen she can again today. 3rd up out to 1600m up slightly in class but stays at 55kg and she should let rip in the straight again today- she has very strong closing figures.

R1 n1 MARQUESS – Maps very well 2nd on leaders back or leading 3rd up off 28 days rises 6.5kg out to 2040m (+640m) off last start 6th Rosehill 1400m when wasn’t suited at all back in distance off a slow tempo beaten 2.2L at $3.60. Lot better placed here today this track/tempo and figures huge last prep once out to 1900-2000m. Clear top pick.

R5 n9 ROLL ON HIGH – Maps back on a slow tempo which is never ideal this track. 2nd up off 21 days drops 2kg out to 1600m (+200m) off resuming run 6th Randwick in Group 1 1400m when given no hope going back off a wide draw on a slow tempo. She charged late there in a race where the subsequent form has been excellent- and her run was as good as there was in the race. Genuine high-class filly with elite talent who will be charging late here and can win with any luck from the back.

R6 n4 MOLLYNICKERS – Maps back in small field but ok from there this tempo 3rd up off 14 days stays at 1600m off last start 3rd to Autumn Angel beaten 0.4L off a Fast tempo in excellent figures. Missed a run there in straight but was very strong through the line. All her form is excellent for today’s race.

R6 n2 RIFF ROCKET – Awkward map back inside 5P back and Nash has hardly been on fire in recent weeks- should have back of King Of Colorado 3rd up off 21 days out to 2000m (+400m) off last start 3rd Flemington in very high rating Aust Guineas beaten 2.2L when only got warmed up late. Was a huge close there off a Very Fast tempo- always a sign of quality in a horse. Exploded 3rd up last prep on Soft 5 track Flemington off a similar 2nd up run to last start. Map not ideal here but interesting that Waller scratched Militarize from this race- maybe this horse was always the number one seed at 2000m. Class act.

R7 n16 MILITARIZE – Maps just off MF and away from inside- will get his chance to launch late from there this tempo 3rd up off 14 days back to 1500m (-100m) off last start 2nd Randwick to Celestial Legend in high rating Randwick Guineas beaten a nose and was coming back again strongly on the line. He did have a perfect run/ride that day but that winner could end up a very special horse. I prefer him back at 1500m-high class colt who has the figures to dominate this race on a soft track (he excels these surfaces) with 56kg. Last time he raced at Rosehill he won Golden Rose Group 1 1400m in an outstanding display. Clear top pick.

R10 n3 OLENTIA – Maps MF off fence 4P back and suited late off this tempo 2nd up off 35 days and no public trial. Rises 1.5kg stays at 1200m off last start 2nd to Semana Randwick 1200m when clearly should have beaten her late. Huge close there late off a Very Slow tempo when in traffic inside from the 300m and only really clear inside the last 100m. Semana was then narrowly beaten last week in Group 1 Coolmore. Very good fresh stats and figures and she will zoom home late down the middle of the track for J Mac late in the day and be winning.

R4 n2 EL MORZILLO – Gets well back on map but tempo up front will suit her late. First prep 4th race start off 42 days and no public trial. Rises 3kg and back to 1000m (-100m) off last start 9th at Randwick. Overcame a wide run off a slow tempo winning at Sun Coast two starts back with a strong close over the last 800m for a young horse. Straight to Sydney after that for Inglis Classic and not much luck getting well back on only an even tempo, held up on turn and only beaten 2.6L by Fully Lit who was on speed. That is clearly the best form reference for today’s race. Nice filly and top pick here freshened up over 1000m off a fast tempo, she should run over these late.

R5 n4 MALABOOM – Forward to lead but will have company up there today 2nd up off 57 days (Very Good 2nd to Front Page Goulburn trial March 1) drops 1kg staying at 1000m off last start resuming 3rd Warwick Farm 1000m when led on an even tempo and was difficult to ride out late hanging in badly at 150m. Gear change today should correct that and her trial was very impressive. Fast filly well suited today this map in the lead, keen she wins.

R7 n1 BUBBAS BAY – Good map on speed 6th up off 17 days rises 3kg staying at 1200m off last start win when sat 2nd on even tempo and out them to the sword late winning easily 3.4L on Slow 5. Figures were dominant from meeting across the board. Was unlucky not to win BM78 start prior behind Blue Spinel here Slow 7 and is just a very consistent reliable mare racing up here in these class races. Keen she wins again.

R8 n8 OUR MAGNUS – Nice map this tempo MF outside and will be able to run home late from there. 2nd up off 21 days rises 2kg stays at 1200m off resuming run 2nd to Kanazawa when charged late off a slow tempo to just miss. Stays at 1200m 2nd up but the likely fast speed engaged here will suit and will be hard to hold out on resuming run in similar race this course and distance. Very consistent last prep without winning, looks to have come back very well and M Rodd sticks with him.

R1 n7 CARINI – Rolls forward to be up on a slow lead speed 3rd up out to 2000m (+400m) off last start 5th when 2nd up to Atishu beaten 1.2L at well backed $4.80. Had EPC in the run there on a slow tempo and was entitled to finish where he did, but he maps to get similar run again today in a much easier race with 54kg. Classy import now in second prep in Aust who gets control on speed, well suited out to 2000m with a fitness and map advantage over his rivals.

R2 n1 FISTSOFFURY – Maps well 3rd inside behind leaders 3rd up off 14 days rises 4kg stays at 1600m off last start 2nd behind star horse Another Wil beaten 4.5L. He sat 4th there on an even tempo in a very high rating race. Back to 3YO class off that run is a huge advantage to him. Overall figures are rock solid, maps well 3rd up for peak run today- clear top pick.

R7 n11 PEACE TREATY – Maps very well leading and controlling resuming off 77 days and two trials have been brilliant. High class filly that takes a step up in class here against the older mares but has a light weight, map favours and she should explode away from these early in straight and be too good with 52kg.

R9 n1 SIR ATLAS – Gets back inside on map but tempo up front will suit him late. Was a VG win there and followed a VG first up run beaten 3.8L by Shove Over who has won since. Huge run end of last prep here when closed off hard 1600m here BM78 beaten 1.1L- there was some genuine quality in that performance by him. He has brilliant closing speed this horse and with any luck coming to the turn today he will run right over the top of these late. Will win better races than this in the future.

Form since from that race has been excellent and race rated best of entire meeting. That’s a sign of genuine quality in a young horse to do that on debut. Very hard to beat here off this map with any sort of expected natural improvement.

R5 n3 LINDERMAN – Very good map 2nd on leaders backs off only an average tempo 3rd up off 14 days drops 1kg out to 2000m(+400m) off last start 3rd to Think It Over beaten 2.5L in high rating race off a Fast tempo. He sat 2nd there on that tempo and was brave late when 2nd up. Gets J Mac and map favours on a slow tempo and finds the perfect race to get back into the winners list and soft track suits.

R6 n4 RED CARD – Leads inside on map on fast tempo 2nd up off 21 days (good trial Hawkesbury since) drops 3kg stays at 1100m resuming win here 1100m Soft 6 in good figures. J Mac rode that day and settled her back off the speed on only an even tempo and she rounded them up late to win well. The L600m there was excellent, and it was good to see her do that on a Soft 6 surface. Unbeaten this track/distance and clear top pick.

R8 n1 ZOUGOTCHA – Maps very well behind the lead speed today 2nd up off 21 days drops 1kg out to 1500m (+200m) off impressive resuming win beating Lady Laguna here at 1300m off a slow tempo on Soft 6 track which suited her. He had a race dominant close last start with an excellent L600m number for the meeting off a good tempo. Lightly raced and overall figures are VG for this race- back to BM70 class and peaks at 3rd run back today.

R5 n1 RAINBOW CONNECTION – Maps well today 5th up off 28 days and up 3kg stays at 1400m off last start 2nd to Tribeca Star beaten 0.5L Grafton at $5. Cops a hefty weight rise from there for being beaten but drew wide, went well back and then raced wide no cover the race but still had a huge L600 for the entire meeting with a powerful L200. All his figures have been very consistent and maps to get a lot better run today back on a dry surface. J Orman a key jockey change for him also.

R6 n4 TRANSATLANTIC – Maps well behind leaders 2nd up off 14 days drops 3.5kg out to 1500m (+100m) off last start resuming 7th beaten 3.1L here when went back to last on a VSlow tempo, over raced mid stages and was given zero chance of winning (leader/won). He was heavily backed resuming at $2.10 and that run has to be forgiven. Prior form last prep was all ok but he has been very disadvantaged in all four of his career runs by very slow tempos and over racing. Better suited today this tempo/map and top pick.
