Last start Randwick S7 drew soft and sat 6th on a crawl speed tempo (Crazy Harry led and dominated) but she ran home late for 2nd beaten 3.2L. Closing figures there were VG for the race and looks suited out to 1800m off that effort. Only 2 wins from 23 starts but his last 5 runs for the new stable (ex P Stokes) have been very good. Suited today and clear top pick.

R5 n1 WORLD ALLIANCE MF on map 4P back outside and will be suited late from there off this tempo. 3rd up off 17 days rises 1.5kg out to 1100m. Last start W Farm H9 drew soft sat 6th on an even tempo and ran home powerfully to win by 1.2L when heavily backed. There was genuine quality in his closing figures from that race. Nice horse who is flying and will be very strong late again today off this tempo. He should swamp these late and win.

R6 n3 HA HA HA Great map forward to 4th in 1/1 position. 4th up off 14 days drops 2.5kg stays at 1600m. Last start Randwick went back to last on a fast tempo and charged home late to win by 1.6L. Close of 22 was totally race dominant and was excellent off the fast tempo. She was the only horse to run on from the back, it was a good win. Suited today off this map and looks the winner.

R4 n2 CINDY FALLS Maps well, forward behind leaders from inside draw. 5th up off 14 days rises 3kg out to 1600m (+200m) which suits. Last start Flemington off 21 days drew outside and was taken back to last on an even tempo with cheekers and lugging bit on first time – was huge late winning narrowly but impressively. She had electric closing figures late in a race that favoured horses on speed. Proven out to 1600m and form looks even better on soft tracks. Both Australian runs have been strong and is very well placed in BM78 class here despite the weight rise.

R6 n6 BARAQIEL Forward early from wider draw and suited out there on this track today. 5th race start off 21 days rises 3kg stays at 1200m and in BM84 class. Last start Caulfield Slow 7 (messy track, inside was off and track deteriorated throughout meeting) went forward 3 wide (suited this track) and although very wayward in straight won softly on the line and the figures from the race were very strong. Now takes on Flemington straight track first time as his next challenge but he is a genuine talent and should be winning.

R8 n6 CADMUS Gets back off MF on map. 5th up off 35 days rises 1.5kg out to 2000m. Last start Sandown S6 drew outside went back to last (not suited that meeting back there) on a fast tempo and far too strong late winning by 1.8L in quality figures- that was a quality win. All his form this prep has been excellent and his closing speed off fast tempos sets him up well for 2000m today. Proven on wet and emerging young horse racing against horses with more exposed form who are not regular winners.

R6 n7 PICK ZA BEANS – couldn’t have been any more impressive winning over this course and distance at 3rd run back from a spell last start. Up in class but even fitter now and maps well, looks the winner.

R5 n4 JEWELLERY Great map 4th inside on leaders back. 5th up off 21 days rises 4kg stays at 1200m. Last start Caulfield S7 (messy track/inside was off and track deteriorated throughout meeting) off 28 days drifted back off MF with cover 6L out in middle of track (suited) and was widest in straight. Strong closing figures from there for 3ra beaten 1L by Baraqiel (smart) in a strong race. Back to Fillies/ Mares class today and a great map.

R6 n9 IN FLIGHT Forward on map to be 2nd OSL. 6th up on 7 day back up drops 7.5kg stays at 1100m. Last start Randwick S7 drew soft sat back 5th on an even tempo and much too strong again with 60kg in BM78 class winning by 2L and heavily backed. Figures from race were best of meeting-she had an outstanding L600m in meeting dominant figures. She is in the zone and all her overall figures are excellent -will take some beating today with 52.5kg up on an average tempo.

R7 n2 AGE OF SAIL Midfield on map 3 pairs back inside 3ª up off 14 days out to 2400m (+400m)-which suits ideally. Last start Randwick H9 drew wider went back near last early on a very fast tempo and ran home hard late for 3rd beaten 0.8L with a race dominant close. There was genuine quality in his late figures there off that tempo. UK import now in 21 prep for K Lees stable proven out to 2400m and both runs back have been excellent. Ready to win today.

R9 n3 CHORLTON LANE Back off midfield on map inside 4 pairs back. 4th up off 21 days rises 7.5kg back to 1300m (-140m). Last start Caulfield G4 (messy track/inside was off and track deteriorated throughout meeting) was 3′” up off 56 days sat 5th back inside (awful there now) and just did not handle that track and run must be forgiven. Both prior wins this prep were strong high-quality performances. Proven at Rosehill and the improving track surface today suits him ideally off the solid tempo. Keen he swamps these late and wins today.

R2 n15 MORTAR – is an ex Victorian resuming from a lengthy spell. He hasn’t been seen at the public trials, but his jump outs suggest he’s forward enough to run a big race here, will sit handy from the good draw and take plenty of holding out late.

R6 n8 CHIARO DI LUNA – Resumed with a luckless effort at Kilcoy when held up at a crucial stage before finishing strongly for a close 4th. Her form down south prior is good enough for this race and maps well for good jockey, hard to beat.

R4 n3 REZONE Forward on map from awkward draw 5th race start first prep off 21 days rises 5kg stays at 2000m. Last start Flemington G4 went back 8th on a fast tempo and was brave late for 3rd beaten 1.5L. It was a tough slog home for them there off that tempo and this race today is much easier class wise. Suited today now he has had the run over 2000m, and this race is not strong. Well beaten Pak 1400m only run on S5 track by Boga Legend but did pull up with post-race issues. Looks his race today.

R6 n15 NATION’S CALL Leads on map B Shinn. 4th up off 24 days drops 4.5kg out to 1700m (+200m). Last start was off 35 days Sandown sat 2d and was wide early winning narrowly late (2 a horse won since). Overall figures from race were clear best of meeting – it was a solid win off a wide trip. Irish import in first prep for Aust stable and well suited today out to 1700m on a slow track. Decent horse and clear top pick here.

R8 n3 MORNINGTON GLORY Great map behind leaders Resumes off 140 days and two excellent 800m jump outs. The last jump out was brilliant. Good horse suited at 1100m and has been targeted at this race. His form and figures since joining Bedggood stable have been outstanding, He began with him last prep off a 327 day spell in a Ballarat Class 1 and finished the prep 3rd in a Group 1 Oakleigh Plate. He can really run home hard off a fast tempo. A lot has been made about him being a dry tracker, but I am totally comfortable with him on a Slow 7 here today and expect him to be winning this race.

R9 n8 ST LAWRENCE 4th up off 14 days rises 1kg stays at 1400m. Last start Caulfield S7 (messy track/inside was off and track deteriorated throughout meeting) Was off 28 days sat 3rd on an even tempo behind leader off the inside rail and got run back inside it late (was awful in there) and no match late for wider winner and ran 2nd beaten 1.3L. VG effort. Different horse on wet tracks and loves this course and distance. Clear top pick with 53.5kg off this map today.

R2 n1 IN FLIGHT Maps 3 pairs back inside touch awkward there today) 5th up off 14 days rises 3.5kg stays in BM72 class and at 1100m. Last start Rosehill H8 drew soft sat 4th in 1×1 on a slow tempo and never going to get beaten from there. Enjoyed a perfect run/ride but there was genuine quality in her closing figures- it was a quality win and overall rating was very good off the slow tempo. Up to 60kg today and might need clear air in straight off map but is well placed still in BM72 class and overall figures excellent.

R3 n1 CRANKY HARRY Great map 4th in 1/1 on a slow tempo. 4th up off 38 days and ran 21d 1000m solid trial. Last start Doomben G4 drew inside ran into traffic issues late and ran 2nd beaten on the line and should have won. He had genuine excuses his only run/loss on a Heavy track Sun Coast. Out to 1600m the first time is still the unknown but does get a great map on a slow tempo so not expecting that to be an issue today. Better than these and too well weighted this scale for deadly trainer/jockey combo in these races.

R7 n8 NAILS MURPHY Perfect map forward inside on leaders back on a fast tempo 4th up off 28 days out to 1600m (+100m). Last start Rosehill H9 sat 5th on a very slow tempo ran 4th beaten 1.8L with Tongue Tie on FT. His closing figures there were excellent and looks suited now out to 1600m off that effort. UK import in 2nd prep now for C Maher stable and has had feet issues since being here racing on the firmer tracks. So well suited today off this map and he is clear top pick.

R8 n5 TESTATOR SILENS Great map 3rd inside on leaders back 4th up off 14 days back to 1400m. Last start Rosehill H8 3rd up out to 1500m was caught wide early and then let stride to sit 2nd OSL (winner) on a very slow tempo and then looked beaten off in the straight but rallied late to just miss. He is a much better suited off faster early tempos than there and there was genuine quality in the L600m figures from that race. Finds his right race today with blinkers back on and good map.

R4 n1 SPRAY GUN finished off in blistering sectionals to win his maiden over this course and distance last start. Looks progressive and maps well, very hard to beat.

R6 n4 STEEL RUN Closer on map today behind lead group at 4th race start in first prep off 28 days drops 2.5kg out to 2500m (+500m). Last start here drew outside was slow away and went right back on a slow tempo but strong figures home for 6th beaten 2L by Lady In Pink when well backed. Was off 35 days there and this stable are often unorthodox with how their horses are prepared. Looks a real stayer and closer on the map out to 2500m today in target final looks ideal.

R7 n7 PRESS DOWN Maps ideally forward inside early with cover. 5th up off 29 days stays at 1200m. Last start Swan Hill G4 drew outside led on a fast tempo won by 4L. His L200m there was almost elite off that tempo. He is flying and maps well on speed to win again today.

R9 n12 PHARARI Leads early on map middle of track on fast tempo. 3rd up off 24 days drops 3kg out to 1200m (+100m). Last start Ballarat H8 sat 4th on a Fast tempo but super strong L600m winning by almost 6L eased right down late in outstanding late sectionals. Start prior Cranbourne S7 equally as dominant won by 8L again with meeting best closing figures. She looks a real emerging filly in top stable back onto much dryer track today but she could easily explode late here out to 1200m.

R3 n1 NAVY BLOOD Back near last on map 4th up on 7 day back up with significant gear change back to 1200m (-100m). Last start was off 35 days and drew outside restrained and went back to last on a very fast tempo before running on strongly late for 2nd beaten 1.4L by Emmadella. Big field and race shape was against him there off a 7 week break with big weight- his run was terrific. Like him on the quick back up with a positive gear change and faster tempo back to 1200m and expect him to be winning.

R4 n10 CLEAR THINKING Maps ideally right behind lead group and away from fence at 3rd race start off 13 days drops 3kg (Country Maiden to Highway) stays at 1200m (+200m). Last start Scone S7 drew wide went forward to 4th won by 2.3L at $1.22 and she won there with plenty left to give. Boom country trained 4YO mare- extremely well bred and should be well up to winning a Highway. Still inexperienced but obviously talented and bolted in both starts on S6 and S7 tracks. Clear top pick.

R5 n7 STRATHAY Maps well forward inside on leaders back on a slower tempo 3rd up off 21 days rises 3kg stays at 2000m and in BM78 class. Last start 21d up Rosehill when was 1500-2000m on H9 track drew inside sat off lead group on even tempo and powered home late to win by 3.6L and was backed at bigger odds. His closing figures there were excellent for entire meeting and obviously dominant for race. Former NZ 4YO now with Waller stable really appreciated getting out to 2000m on the Heavy track last start. It was a very impressive win.

R9 n5 CONTEMPORARY Back off MF on map but will be well suited by this tempo late. Resumes off short 63 days break and good trial WFarm H8 June17 to keep him ticking over. Drops 2kg out to 1200m (+100m) off last start resuming win Hawkesbury G4 when off 126 day spell – drew wide went back to near last off a very fast tempo and came wide in straight winning by 1.4L Figures from that race were very good. Has good record this track and distance and fast tempo 1200m races on genuinely wet tracks are ideal for him.

R10 n10 PURE ALPHA Forward on map early to be 21d OSL 3rd up off 24 days drops 2kg stays at 1400m. Last start 2nd up at Kenso off 21 days on H8 drew soft and had EPC in run on a slow tempo, held up at 200m before winning by 1.2L heavily backed late at $1.80. There was some genuine strength in his close there with a strong L400m. Lightly raced 3YO proven at 1400m on Heavy tracks- decent horse and K McEvoy will suit him.

R8 n8 ELLEYANNA – resumes, didn’t do a lot last campaign but looks to have come back a different horse judging by its recent jump out win. Drawn for a nice run for good jockey and will take plenty of beating

R3 n4 TROSETTEE Maps well – forward behind the speed 4th up off 28 days. Last start here G3 was 1600-2000m and went back to near last on a very fast tempo over racing and then held up at 400m before charging late for 3rd beaten 0.7L by Foujita San in a race suited to run on horses. Prior two runs since resuming both good for this race today. Lightly raced 7YO in top stable and clear top pick, and any rain on race day is even better for him.

R7 n10 MISS ROUMBINI Maps well – forward inside and suited this tempo 3″‘ up off 14 days drops 1.5kg out to 1400m (+100m). Last start Sandown 2* up was 1200-1300m (56.5kg) drew outside (12) rolled forward wider (had to be on fence and on speed that day) but was way too strong late winning by 2.2L heavily backed late $3.40 in high quality figures. Her closing sectionals there off a very fast tempo were genuine high quality. Resumed off 180-day spell Pakenham Soft 6 drew inside sat 3ra beaten 0.5L by Apparatus (smart). Well bred filly looks better than these.

R8 n1 FLEETWOOD Maps well – forward inside behind leaders off a fast tempo 3rd up off 21 days rises 2.5kg stays at 1000m. Last start 2d up Randwick H9 track off 16 days and 1100m back to 1000m sat 4th inside on an even tempo and far too strong late winning by 1.4L and was well backed late. Gelded this prep and is now 2/2 since resuming. Figures from that race were outstanding and he had an electric closing sprint winning eased down. Loves wet tracks and suited this class, genuine talent.

R6 n10 IN FLIGHT Maps well MF on map off inside, 4th up off 14 days rises 3kg stays at 1100m. Last start Rosehill H9 drew inside sat 3rd on an even tempo and too strong late winning by 0.8L at $6.50 (2d horse has won well since). Lightly raced 3YO filly in top stable who appreciated getting J Ford riding last start and proven on Heavy tracks. Gets map favours today and he should be winning.

R7 n5 GOLDEN PATH Great map 4th in 1×1 5th up off 35 days and drops 3kg (BM88 to Listed) stays at 2000m. Last start here Soft 5 drew outside barrier rolled forward on a Very Fast tempo and won by 0.3L when easy late in betting. Figures from that win were excellent and his last two runs in blinkers have been good. Proven at 2000m out to Soft 7 and one run on Heavy 9 was good. Lightly raced 4YO who is very capable on his day figures wise and sets up well today off this map and tempo.

R9 n15 TESTATOR SILENS Great map 4th in 1×1 3rd up off 14 days drops 4.5kg out to 1500m (+200m). Last start 2nd up off 21 days (trial) Rosehill H9 1300m drew wider went forward (61.5kg) ran 2nd beaten 1.8L by Elson Boy (56kg race fit) at $10. Proven on heavy tracks and having first run past 1400m but fitter now and was very strong L200m last start so out to 1500m today looks ideal. Tough reliable horse maps well for Nash and will be strong late.

R11 n4 KAZOU Leads or OSL on map on Fast Tempo 2ª up off 56 days and excellent 900m trial Rosehill S6 beaten 0.2L. Rises 5.5kg (BM94 back to BM78) out to 1200m (+100m). Resumed off 154 days drew outside barrier went forward to 2nd on Fast tempo ran 3a beaten 1L in strong figures. Fast mare with good record at 1200m and highly effective on slow tracks.

R1 n4 SNEAKY SUNRISE Gets well back on map but will be suited late at 4th race start in first prep. Off 35 days but had excellent 800m jump out here June 14 when cruised home late under no riding. Rises 1.5kg and stays at 1400m off last start here S7 when drew soft and went back on an even tempo but closed off hard winning by 1.5L when well backed. L400m figures there were dominant for race. Proven at 1400m and she looks a good quality filly.

R2 n4 ABERFELDIE BOY Maps well forward inside on leaders back 2nd up off 14 days rises 3kg (BM100 to Open) out to 2540m (+540m). Resumed off short 63-day break drew outside went back to 10th ran home for 5th beaten 1.9L when held up at 200m. It was a high rating fast race. He was placed in Vic Derby this track and distance as a 3YO so out in distance today should suit off what looks like a great map. Very hard to beat today.

R5 n3 EXTREMELY LUCKY Maps back inside 4th up off 21 days rises 1kg stays at 1100m. Last start Caulfield G4 1100m drew outside went back last but ran home hard for 3rd in swoopers race beaten 1.2L. Dry tracker now back with original stable and has got good record at 1100m. First run down the straight but has always been a horse I thought would excel at straight racing and B Shinn a huge plus.

R9 n2 THE BLACK CLOUD Suited this map leading wider 3rd up off 14 days rises 3.5kg (BM78 to 3YO) out to 1100m (+100m). Last start 2nd up Randwick BM78 H9 drew outside barrier rolled forward to 3rd ran 21d beaten 1.4L by Fleetwood (smart) when well backed at $2.20. Resumed at Randwick BM78 Slow 5 1000m, went back 8th and was too strong late winning by 1.2L. Unbeaten at 1100m (2 from 2) and better suited back onto dryer surface today 3rd up. Will appreciate the straight track here today.

R4 n1 TOP BOY – ran home strongly for 2nd over this course and distance last start in a stronger race. Gets in well after the claim for promising apprentice and looks much too good for these.

R4 n5 BATRANA Map suits today from good draw 2nd up off 14 days. Resumed off 207 days (did trial very well prior) last start Caulfield (on a +9m rail) went back last on a Fast tempo (run on horses were suited that race). She had blinkers off and was easy late in betting and held up at 200m before charging late beaten 0.9L. Very well bred 3YO filly will appreciate getting out to 1300m today (and further later) and was very good this track last prep at 1400m. Placed only run on Soft track but there were excuses that day and is clearly the one to beat.

R5 n5 CAPTAIN FURAI Forward on map from wide draw – should be ok behind lead group from there at 4th race start first prep rises 1kg back to 1400m (-100m). Last start 2nd here 1500m Heavy 8 to Franz Josef drew wide crossed over to 4th off a Very Slow tempo and challenged him strongly in straight ran 2nd beaten 1.5L. Was 1300-1500m there and out of strong midweek BM68 class win at Kenso in good figures. Back to BM72 class here suits off that. Proven in Heavy ground and talented young horse. Goes for spell after this run for better races in Spring.

R8 n2 HOPEFUL Good map 4th in 1/1 on Slow tempo 6th run for prep and on 7 day back up. Rises 3kg (stays in Listed class) out to 2400m (+400m) which suits. Last start drew inside went back 5th Fast tempo and had traffic issues in straight for 2nd beaten 1.75L by Eliyass (very smart). He charged home there and the finishing margin was unfair. Interesting riding change and loves wet tracks but now 13 runs since last win. Four runs back at 2600m Randwick Heavy 9 gave Circle of Fire weight and ran 2nd beaten 0.5L which is a great form reference for this class of race today. Huge close late last start and clear top pick off that. Heavy track suits ideally- he is very good in that ground.

R9 n6 FRANZ JOSEF Draws inside to lead and control again 3rd up. Stays at 1500m and at 58.5kg going from BM72 win to BM78 today off last start win here when drew outside led and controlled on a Very Slow tempo but too strong late when challenged to win impressively. His L200m there was best in race and good for meeting after leading – so all honours to him there. Better map today early for him and hard to see him not winning again. Nice horse for better class races than this later in career and Heavy track today is no issue for him.

R7 n2 LIGHTNING RAGE resumes, ran a solid 3rd on debut last prep at Warwick then forgive last start when lame. Won a recent jump out in nice style and from the inside gate in a weak race, looks the winner.

R4 n3 QUANTUM CAT – Maps closer today inside behind the lead group 4th up off 14 days drops 2kg (Bm78 to BM84) out to 2520m (+120m). Last start went right back from outside draw on a very slow tempo Randwick Slow 5 and charged late with an outstanding L600m. Well suited back to Flemington 4th up and out to 2520m off that effort. D Lane has first ride and proven this distance in UK. All three Aust runs have been very good and sets up well to be winning this late.

R6 n12 SILENT SURRENTE – Maps very well forward inside this draw 4th up off 28 days drops 2.5kg stays at 2000m. Last start was 1600-2000m drew wide went forward on an even tempo and was keen in the run beaten 0.6L by Sea What I See- that’s a good form reference for here and seems well weighted this class. Really genuine mare suited out to 2000m today off an ideal map.

R8 n20 ELOUYOU – Positive early this map from wider draw 3rd up off 24 days drops 5.5kg (BM70 to BM84) out to 1400m (+100m). Last start 2ª Sandown went forward on a fast tempo just run down late beaten 0.3L. (Winner there has won impressively since). Figures from Sandown race were outstanding and their closing speed off a fast tempo was excellent. Has won at 1400m last run before a spell when led/controlled on a fast tempo winning by 3L in good overall figures at a very strong meeting at Geelong. Lightly raced emerging 4YO horse with real upside and he will keep running here in front today for D Lane.

R6 n13 THE BLACK CLOUD – Map suits today on Heavy track forward early with cover behind the speed. 2a up off 14 days rises 3kg (stays in BM78 class and at 1000m) Resumed off 112-day spell began awkwardly and over raced off an even tempo but was too strong late winning here in strong overall figures. That was career best win so far so she has returned in great shape-good quality filly to be still in a BM78 class race. Unbeaten all 3 runs on Soft but no starts on Heavy yet. Should be too good for these again today.

R9 n11 SEMILLION – Map suits today on Heavy forward early wide with cover behind the speed 5th up off 28 days back to 1100m (-100m). Last start drew inside led/controlled in front on a very fast tempo and won by 0.9L heavily backed late at $3.75. There was genuine merit in that win off that tempo. Back to 1100m today but gets a very fast tempo up front and he can be very strong late with 53.5kg this track today. Unbeaten on Heavy tracks and all runs this prep have been very good.

R4 n1 RUSSIAN SUB has always shown plenty of talent and is starting to put it all together now. Ran 2nd to Oughton last start who placed in a much stronger race at Eagle Farm last weekend and maps for the right run here, looks the winner.

R5 n2 SPRAY GUN ex SA horse resuming for the Currie stable. Had strong form down south and has jumped out well for his return, can race on pace and very hard to beat.

R4 n9 JEWELLERY Gets well back and wide early on map 3rd up off 14 days drops 1kg back to 1100m (-200m). Last start drew inside Scone Slow 6 went back to 7th ran home late off an even tempo for 3rd beaten 1.3L in only basic figures for the meeting. Resumed start prior 1100m Canterbury Slow 5 got back to last off inside draw charged late for 2d to Spring Lee in very good figures. Gets right back on map again back in distance but they can sweep home out wider late at this track and distance and she has elite closing speed when right.

R9 n15 MIRZANN Maps well forward behind leaders and off fence 3rd up off 14 days. Rises 1kg out to 2000m (+200m) which suits and stays in BM84 grade. Last start when 2nd up drew oft went right back and was strong late for 2nd beaten 1.5L well backed at $2.90. His closing speed there off a fast tempo was excellent and he was held up at 400m! Both Aust runs have been very good and back onto a dryer surface today out to 2000m is perfect.

Last start 2d up off 21 days 1600-2000m came wide late when 2d Caulfield 2000m off a very fast tempo when well backed late in betting. Both his Aust runs have been very good at 1600-2000m. The winner last start had a much more economical run than him which proved costly late. Proven out to 2500m in UK and that last run off a high-speed tempo will bring him right on fitness wise for 2400m today.
