Last start when 2nd up off 24 days staying at 1200m drew outside went back last early 7L off leader/winner on a fast tempo. Came wide on turn to make her run home and charged late for 6th beaten 3.2L by Ouroboros. Race rated very highly, and she closed off with 2nd fastest L200m of meeting which was an excellent effort after having no favours in the run. Drops sharply in class today will be on speed and keen she wins.

R5 n6 LOHNROS QUEEN Back last on map. Resumes off 122-day spell and two trials. She ran home strongly from last under a hold in both trials. Horses don’t trial much better than she has for a race like today. Has got very good first up stats and has huge closing speed late in her races. Keen she rounds these up late and wins and soft no issue for her.

R11 n 9 HOLY RACKET Leads inside on map. 2nd up off 14 days rises 2kg and stays at 1000m. Last start resumed off 119 days with winkers off Open EFarm drew inside (52kg) led and controlled on a slow tempo. Tried very hard in straight but couldn’t hold Party For Two (57kg) out late beaten 0.4L. Fast horse and tried hard there in a high rating race. Really like him 2^d up staying at 1000m on speed with rail out and wet track zero issue for him. Keen he wins.

Top Pick n6 PRESAGE NOCTURNE Map suits forward to midfield with cover. 3d up off 17 days drops 2kg and suited out to 3200m (+800m). Last start when 2nd up back to 2400m sat back midfield 10L off leader on a crazy fast tempo and was super strong late for 4*h beaten 1.8L by Half Yours. Race rated enormous and his L200m figure off that tempo was elite. Proven out to 3000m and on soft tracks – high quality stayer and is the one to beat.

R4 n2 PALLATON Map suits behind lead group with cover. 5th up on 10 day back up rises 1.5kg back to 1000m (-200m). Last start Randwick 3YO Listed drew outside crossed to be 4th on an even tempo but was wide there no cover. He still joined in strongly in the straight but he just tired late when 2nd to Skyglider beaten 1.4L. Race rated well and the winner there is smart. Has been wide his last two runs but will get cover today behind the leaders down the straight back to 100m with J Mac getting aboard. Placed only run on Heavy and well placed this race.

R9 n15 SURFIN BIRD Forward inside behind the leader. Last start BM70 Caulfield was off 56 days drew outside was caught 3 wide no cover 5L off leader on a very fast tempo and cruised around from the 600m winning easily by 4.2L. She was super impressive there late with her L400m figure brilliant off that tempo and there were some big margins back behind her. Proven on soft and maps ideally, very hard to beat.

R5 n 1 GRINGOTTS Forward inside on map. Last start Rosehill was off 49 days and a setback. Had 61kg drew inside and was ridden forward to make use of good draw on a brutal tempo. That was a mistake by Nash which ultimately cost him the race. Was tough in the straight running 2ndto Hedley grange beaten 0.6L. Race rated very highly and his effort was huge, map suits today and soft track no worries, keen he wins.

R9 n6 WELL TIMED Forward early behind the lead group. Last start BM88 Randwick drew outside sat back 4L off leader on a very slow tempo but was wide there no cover out on a limb. Sprinted off that in the straight and was brave beaten 1.2L by Kerguelen, his effort there was excellent. Loves Randwick and looks suited out to 1500m for the first time off a lot better map this draw, proven on heavy.

BEST BET: – R7 n 1 AIR ASSAULT Forward early on speed. 3rd up off 11 days drops 1kg and looks suited out to 1800m (+300m). Last start Gawler Cup when 2^d up drew inside and sat back 5l off leader on a fast tempo – he wore leader down in the straight winning by 0.9L. Race rated ok and he can only be fitter and better today 3rd up out to 1800m. He is unbeaten this track and distance (3/3) and has a great overall record at this track. He will roll forward today and he won this race last year up on speed by 2L. Keen he races well today.

He resumed off 136 days run prior in very strong class 3YO beaten 2.3L by Talkanco who is 2nd fav in R8 today in Listed class! This race is panels weaker than that class wise and Frankie should be winning today.

R8 n 2 PLAYIN’IT SWEET Forward inside behind lead group. 4’* up off 10 days and stays at 1400m. Last start BM72 Ascot S5 track sat back 8L off leader on an even tempo and sprinted fast in the straight from back there when 3rd beaten 0.5L by Asphalt. Race rated ok but she had a strong L600m figure home. Back to own age group today and on a dryer track suits ideally. Good quality WA 3YO filly and she should be too good for this class today.

BEST BET: R2 n 4 RATIFY 2^° race start off 20 days rises 1kg and stays at 1400m. Last start on debut Maiden WFarm drew outside went back 2nd last 7L off leader and had no hope of winning from back there. He charged home late off a very slow tempo beaten 2L by Chicama with an excellent L400m figure from the race. Should have finished closer as barrier /tempo was right against him there and lot better suited this track out to 1400m.

Last start Class 3 EFarm when was 1400-1800m sat 4th early on a slow tempo (suited) and had a clear run home outside when 2nd to Cavalry Man narrowly beaten. Race rated plainly overall but he was strong late and will be fitter today. No star but won’t have to be today and maps well for R Maloney and loves the soft.

Really like him 2nd up staying at 1000m on speed and wet track zero issue for him.

R9 n9 EXCEED SPEED Positive early on map behind leader. 6th up off 35 days drops 2.5kg and stays at 1600m. Last start BM80 Toowoomba ridden forward early to sit 2nd on a fast tempo. He was out of his comfort zone there on that tempo and hit front in straight but expectedly tired late running 3rd to Ludovisi beaten 0.8L. Had no favours there off that set up and is proven at EFarm. Loves the wet.

Last start resumed BM70 Doomben off 140-day spell was slow away sat 5th inside 3L off leader on a very fast tempo. He really attacked the line late from there winning easily by 2L. Race rated best of meeting and his L200m figure off that early effort/tempo was excellent. Has always been talented and looks winner again today. Soft track no issue.

Last start 3YO Listed Caulfield resumed off 112 days and first run for Moody stable (ex CQ trained). Drew inside sat 4th early 4L off leader on an even tempo and ran 3rd beaten 2L by Tentyris in a high rating race. Positive gear change and well suited back to Fillies class.

R6 n1 BEIWACHT Forward outside wider with cover. Last start out to 1400m 3YO Group 1 Rosehill drew inside jumped fast led and controlled on a fast tempo and just kept running winning by 4.1L in course record time. It was an exceptional win with Tempted 4.1L behind him there and she was huge next start in The Everest. If he repeats that performance this is over and stable have an exceptional record winning this race.

Last start 3YO Group 2 MValley when out to 2040m with gear changes and led on a slow tempo and never ever looked like losing from there winning eased right down the last 100m by 0.5L over Providence. Lightly raced colt in top stable coming off an outstanding run in Caulfield Guineas run prior. Maps on speed again today off a perfect draw and is clearly hard to run down late.

Last start resumed off 140 days BM72 Midway Rosehill drew outside sat back last 8L off leader on an even tempo and charged home late to win impressively by 0.5L with her L400m figure totally dominant for the race. Lightly raced 4YO mare with a lap on this field class wise, who will eat up the 1500m late off this fast tempo. Keen she wins and S5/S6 track is ok for her.

R7 n2 JIMMYSSTAR Maps MF and suited there this tempo. 4th up off 14 days and well suited out to 1300m (+100m). Last start Group 1 Randwick when 3rd up sat 4th early on an even tempo and was wide there no cover. He was very brave to the line running 3rd to Ka Ying Rising beaten 1.4L. That race rated best of meeting and his L200m figure off the above was high quality. Well suited out to 1300m and won Group 1 1400m here on S5 track. Keen he wins.

R8 n14 AUTUMN GLOW Maps MF and suited there this tempo. 4th up off 28 days and ran 4th impressive 1050m trial Randwick Oct 20. Rises 1kg back to 1500m (-100m). Last start Group 1 Randwick when 3rd up out to 1600m drew outside crossed to sit 2nd on a slow tempo and really attacked the line winning easily by 1.4L. Race rated strongly and her L600m figure was strong. Elite mare so well suited today off this faster tempo and loves the wet tracks-l expect her to win again.

R9 n4 MAISON LOUIS Maps 4P back inside. 3’d up off 21 days and well suited out to 2000m (+100m). Last start Group 2 Rosehill when 2nd up quickly out to 1900m. Sat back 8th 6L off leader/winner on a very slow tempo and was never a winning chance off that set up but got to outside without a lot of clear air until late and charged home for 3rd beaten 2.9L by Lindermann (won since) and Attrition was 2nd (4’h in Cox Plate). He closed off with 8th fastest L200m of the meeting. Lightly raced emerging stayer and has to carry the 58kg today but keen he wins. Group 1 winner on S5.

R6 n9 STRIKE ME PINK – Improving filly who ran a nice 3rd last start at only her 2nd career start. Has more upside than these, maps well and looks the winner in a thin race.

R3 n3 FUNCHAI Resumed in good quality BM66 Ascot was slow away sat back 4L off leader on a very slow tempo and was held up badly in straight and never really tested late beaten 2.1L by Essentric Nature. Decent mare in leading stable and quickly out to 1800m which suits and gets Pike on today, should run over these late and win.

R7 n7 BLACK ORA Last start was 6L off them inside when they turned for home and she swamped them late winning by 0.7L. Her L600m figure from there was elite off that tempo. Classy dry track mare still on the up and finds another fast tempo/high pressure 1000m race where she can steam home late over the top again and win.

R5 n4 VICTORY WIN Forward early behind the leader. 3rd up off 21 days and stays at 1600m. Last start BM90 Doomben when 2nd up was slow away sat back 8L off leader inside on a very slow tempo (unsuited). Got out wider on turn and really charged to the line late with an outstanding L400m figure to win by 0.4L. He had 4th fastest L200m of meeting-he was impressive there. Loves this track and distance and looks the winner again.

R7 n6 COLOPHON Leads inside on map. 2d up off 14 days drops 6kg and stays at1200m. Resumed with crossover nose band off first time off 136 days Gold Coast BM68 (61kg) crossed and led early on an even tempo and just kept running late winning easily by 4.3L when smashed late in betting. Race rated well and his L600m figure from there was strong. Fast horse who loves to run along in front and control and gets that opportunity again today.

R1 n9 TONKIN Forward inside behind leaders. 3rd up off 42 days drops 5.5kg and well suited back to 1000m. Had quiet 900m jump out Mornington Oct 8 – M Zahra rode there. Last start BM78 Flemington when 21d up out to 1100m drew outside down the straight sat 2nd on a fast tempo and was extremely brave late off that tempo when 21d and race rated well. Lot better off back around a bend today at 1000m. Her one run at this course and distance she exploded late winning by 4.5L in meeting best figures. She should trail Beast Mode on the map and run him down late and win.

R6 n9 SHE’S UNUSUAL Positive early to be behind the speed. Deeper into prep off 28 days rises 1kg out to 2040m (+140m). Last start was off 28 days BM88 Rosehill with blinkers off drew inside sat 3rd 2L off leader on an even tempo and took over in straight winning easily by 3.3L. Race rated well and she had a very good L200m figure winning impressively. Forward on map again today and very hard to beat.

R10 n2 ANTINO Back near last on map. 4th up off 14 days and stays at 2000m. Last start Group 1 Turnbull Stakes Flemington when out to 2000m (from 1600m) was slow away and sat midfield with cover early 6L away, was then left wide no cover from 800m when running 2nd to Sir Delius who had much softer run beaten 1.8L. He had no favours there and was clearly the best run in the race. Very adaptable map wise today this tempo with Blake Shinn on who knows him well and confident he can win.

He resumed with a tidy effort at this track when 2nd over 1200m and will have derived plenty of benefit from that. The step up to 1300m looks perfect and very well weighted after the claim, maps perfectly on speed and will be too strong for these late.

She looked great there late in that trial under no riding. 1000m today is short of her best but will be very strong here late off this tempo. Decent mare with genuine excuses in some of her losses last prep and in a lot stronger races than this one. Can see her charging here late with 54kg off the fast tempo.

He was out of his comfort zone there on that tempo and hit front in straight but expectedly tired late running a close 3rd to Ludovisi beaten 0.8L. Had no favours there off that set up and this looks a lot more suitable today. Proven at Farm and keen he bounces back here.

Caulfield Meeting Selections

R3 n3 JUST A JOURNEY Leads on map. 4 up off 14 days and out to 2000m (+400m). Last start Group 2 Flemington led and controlled on an even tempo and kicked strongly early in straight but was run down right on the line by a really promising filly in Getta Good Feeling who is the current VRC Oaks favourite. That race rated very well overall off that tempo and the winner produced an electric L200m sprint to beat her. Drops sharply in class this race without a weight rise and gets map favours up front for B Shinn which is a huge riding change out to 2000m. Looks the winner.

R4 n2 TENTYRIS Map suits behind lead group with cover. 2d up off 14 days and suited out to 1200m (+100m). Last start Group 2 Flemington resumed off 210 days with 58.5kg. Sat back MF with cover 5L off leader (1st/2nd) came out wider. He was very good late from there when 3rd to McGaw. Race rated highly and his L600m figure off that tempo was excellent. Great effort off the longer spell. Should have won Blue Diamond last prep at his only run at Caulfield and this map suits ideally for M Zahra. Keen he wins.

R8 n2 PRIVATE EYE Positive early on map to be on speed. 4th up off 28 days and ran 6th in tick over 900m trial Rosehill Oct 13. Last start Randwick sat 2d OSL on an even tempo and had his chance there when 4th to Fangirl beaten 2.7L. Race rated highly and there are no Fangirls in this race. Back to Group 3 class race at SWP scale are his bread and butter races. With the scratching of Star Patrol he will control this race up front and take plenty of running down.

R9 n15 HALF YOURS Maps MF and inside. Deeper into prep off 14 days drops 3.5kg and well suited out to 2400m (+400m) in his target race. Last start Group 1 Flemington staying at 2000m sat back 7L off leader on a very slow tempo and had zero hope of winning that race from back there. He powered home late for 4th to Sir Delius beaten 2.7L. He had a race dominant L200m figure from there. Cherry ripe for 2400m back to a Hdcp today is perfect. His closing speed in races for a stayer is elite. Only needs average luck in straight getting away from inside and he will be winning.

R10 n5 ABOUNDING MF and off fence on map- well suited there. 4th up off 22 days and back to 1400m (-100m). Last start Group 2 Moonee Valley sat 4th early 3L off leader on a fast tempo. She was then held up in straight before launching late for 20d beaten 0.8L by Splash Back who had perfect run and ride there. Race rated well and she closed off strongly L200m. She should have won Group 3 1200m this track when resuming and finds the right race/map/tempo today and looks the perfect set up to win.

Last start Randwick Group 1 drew outside went back last 16L off leader on an even tempo- had zero hope from there. Just kept running home when 4th to Royal Supremacy beaten 1.3L. Race rated strongly and his L600m figure off that tempo was excellent. So well suited out to 2600m with a weight swing 4th up and keen he wins today.

R3 n10 SWIFTFALCON Maps 4P back inside. 4th up off 14 days rises 8.5kg and stays at 1600m. Last start when 3rd up out to 1600m with blinkers first time was slow away sat back 10th inside 7L off leader on a slow tempo and was no chance of winning from back there. Only clear at 250m and charged late for 4th beaten 2.1L by Autumn Glow. Race rated strongly and he had a dominant L400m figure. Carries weight well and his last run with blinkers on first time wins this race.

R5 n11 CLEAR THINKING Maps well back outside but tempo here will suit late. Resumes off longer 224-day spell and has won both trials. Most recent 1100m Scone Oct 1 when the blinkers went back on, she responded accordingly winning by 4.8L. Genuine talent and has huge closing speed. She should round these up late and win her target race today.

R6 n15 GENEROSITY Maps well back outside but tempo here will suit late. 3rd up off 28 days and ran 4th in 1050m trial Randwick Oct 7. Rises 3.5kg and well suited out to 1200m (+100m). Last start Group 2 Randwick drew inside went back 7L off leader on a slow tempo and was huge late after being held up when 3rd to Joliestar beaten 2.1L. She has always had booming late speed and both her runs for Waller stable have now been excellent.

It was an awful ride-she was given zero by the jockey. Out to 1400m today, had no favours last prep when out to 1350m behind Sunrays beaten 2.8L. Up to 59kg but maps a lot better today with a positive gear/ riding change and keen she wins

R7 n13 VICTORY FLAME Positive early from draw. 6th up off 14 days drops 7kg and stays at 1800m. Last start BM60 EFarm drew inside sat 4th early on a very fast tempo 5L off leader. Got to the front late in straight but was beaten on the line by Evelyn May. Race rated strongly and L200m figure there off that tempo was strong. Gets B Thompson on in a huge riding switch, ready to win.

R8 n10 SO YOU ARE Forward on map behind lead group. 7th up on 7 day back up drops 2.5kg out to 2400m (+200m). Last start BM78 Doomben with blinkers on again led and controlled on a fast tempo and went for home from the 600m and far too classy late winning by 2.7L. Race rated highly and he was far too classy for them there. Forward on map again today with 53kg and 2400m won’t be an issue. Was only 2.2L off Soul Of Spain and Royal Supremacy two starts back in Newcastle Cup. That’s a great reference for here and he is a tough horse.

R9 n10 FUKUBANA Back MF on map. Resumes off 126 day spell and two trials. Won most recent Grafton 940m Sept 22 by 2.4L. A Mallyon rode in trial. He sat back off them there MF and wider and cruised away late to win under a hold. It was a very impressive trial. Proven fresh and at EFarm and his start prior to spelling drew outside went forward to lead on a fast tempo beaten 1.4L by Transatlantic- high rating race. Has a class edge on these horses and should win.

Last start resumed off 112 days Listed Toowoomba sat back 7th 5L off leader on a fast tempo and exploded in the straight to win by 4.6L in course record time. Race rated dominant best for the meeting and his L600m figure off that tempo was outstanding. 2nd up today off a career peak can be challenging and will need a good ride early. Loves EFarm and 1400m on dry tracks but will need a great ride early today.

Last start Group 3 MValley out to 1200m drew outside went back last 8L off leader on an even tempo and was outstanding late there running 3rd to Snow Mercy (who had EPC) beaten 0.8L. Her closing figures there were on a par with the Group One horses in the Manikato at that meeting. Quality filly in strong stable who will be charging home late from back on the map.

Race rated enormously but he did have only 52kg off a brilliant ride and Angel Ruler was desperately unlucky behind him. 2nd prep now for him and a Group 1 winner- he is a high class horse. 1600m no issue today of this map/tempo up front. Keen he wins.

Last start resumed off 126 days Group 3 Caulfield S5 track led inside early on a fast tempo and was way too strong late winning by 2.2L. Race rated very highly and his L600m figure off that tempo was brilliant. That was a high-quality win. Proven 2nd up and is a good horse. Can go on with it.

Was 2nd up drew outside in small field and sat 3 wide no cover out on a limb on a slow tempo. Very poor ride by T Schiller and was beaten 1.7L by Manaal and race rated well. Proven at 1200m and maps better today, hard to beat.

Ready now for Group 3 class with 54kg and J Kah will suit him.

Last start when 2nd up Group 1 Flemington sat 4th in 1×1 3L off leader on a crawl speed tempo and had zero hope from there but her L600m figure was excellent. The ride was queried by stewards – it was a dumb one. Now out to 2000m and she is clearly Australia’s best horse at this distance. Keen she strikes back today.

Well-bred talented 4YO proven out to 1400m who will control this race up on speed.

He had all the favours there running 2nd to Joliestar but he exploded between the 400-200m before tiring late – he will be much fitter today. Joliestar produced a freakish finish off a very poor ride to beat him. Race rated highly and he improved sharply 2nd up last prep and gets a map advantage over Jimmysstar here and keen he wins.

Last start Group 2 Rosehill S6 track where you had to be on fence and inside on the +6m rail. She was 2nd up out to 1300m and back on to a S5 track. Sat 3rd early 3L off leader on a slow tempo and improved sharply coming to turn- it was race over from there. She exploded late winning by 2.2L. Race rated highly, and she had an electric L600m figure yet again. Freak mare who is poorly weighted today but still expect her to still do a job on this field at 1600m.

Very well in at the weights under these conditions. Resumed last prep Ascot 1200m drew inside sat back 5L off leader and ran home powerfully late for 4th beaten 0.9L by Jokers Grin in a Quokka! That’s an outstanding reference for here. Keen he runs over the top of these late and wins.

R8 n4 STARRY HEIGHTS Forward early, will need a good ride from the awkward gate. Last start sat back 5th on a crawl speed tempo in the lead up race and was held up in straight until the 150m. Charged home late once clear with 2nd fastest L200m figure of the meeting. He was 1400m-2100m there and should have finished much closer. Loves this track – won this race last year and much better suited late off this stronger tempo today.

Both runs back from a spell have been good including last start when stepping up to a mile and found the line very nicely late, looks primed to run a strong 2000m. Will have to go back from the sticky draw but there looks to be genuine speed which suits. Gets in with a light weight and with any luck in transit can run over the top of these late to score.

R8 n14 TAVS Resumes off 111-day spell with two trials and an impressive jump out. Drawn to sit back behind the speed along the inside and look for runs to appear before the corner. Won two in a row impressively at Eagle Farm last preparation in quick figures then an unlucky 4th behind The Inflictor and finished the campaign with another 4th behind Transatlantic in a Listed race. Has been set for this race and looks beautifully weighted on the minimum, very hard to beat.

R9 n1 WORTHY ENUFF Promising 3yo gelding who has found the line strongly in all 5 starts to date. Maps back along the inside off a fast tempo which suits. Things didn’t pan out when resuming at Doomben when a touch slow away then over raced when the pace slackened before finishing off strongly for a closing 3ra behind Foreign Press. Gets blinkers first time, will be much fitter and gets home track advantage here. If they overdo it up front which looks a chance, he can knock the favourites off here at good each way odds.

Back to Flemington 1400m is perfect. He only needs normal luck (not always the case this rider) off the inside map and he will be too good for these and win.

Really nice filly with strong closing speed well suited out to 1400m today. Negative map but she will charge home late this tempo.

Last start resumed off 91 days 4Y0+ Listed Flemington they went crazy in front early- he was a part of that speed sitting 3rd 2L off leader. Got to front in straight and looked home before a swooper picked him off late beaten on the line by Cafe Millenium. Race rated through the roof and there was a good margin to 3rd horse. His effort there was outstanding and is a much better horse 2’a up from a spell. Keen he wins.

Last start Open Flemington when 2nd up out to 1700m he led but went crazy in front on a suicidal tempo and the field spread right out. Now had two very fast on pace runs back off his spell and gets control again today for B Shinn 3rª up and ready to win. Classy stayer unbeaten this track and trip.

He won Group 1 1300m race Randwick resuming last prep off a similar break and then was less than a length away next two runs in George Ryder and Doncaster-both at Group 1 level. Tim Clark will have him on speed early this map and while he has to carry the 61kg he is a quality horse and better than Group 3 class.

He was too strong from there winning easily late by 1.8L. Race rated strongly. He accelerated late there off a fast tempo when he had to work hard early which is a sign of genuine quality in a horse. Back to 1100m today but wide draw will allow him to drop on these late and win. Really like him as a horse and expect him to develop into a Group 1 sprinter later in his career.

Race rated strongly and his L200m figure off that tempo was good. Lot better horse back on dryer tracks and back to 1350m off this map is ideal.

R9 n5 ABOUT TO EXPLODE Maps forward behind lead group. 3ro up off 14 days rises 2.5kg and stays at 1200m. Last start when 2nd up BM78 EFarm drew inside and sat 8th early on an even tempo and powered home late to win by 1.1L. Race rated well and his L200m figure off that tempo was very good. He was inside there on a track where you had to be out wider in the better ground. Really dominant win and he is just a talented late maturing horse. Looks better than these and keen he wins again.

R5 n2 ZOU SENSATION Back on map but fast tempo/smaller field suit there. 5th up off 35 days and ran 3rd recent jump out Flemington 800m Aug 22. Drops 1kg and back to 1200m (-200m) off last start BM100 Flemington win. Drew wider there and sent forward early to lead on a very slow tempo. Strong in straight to win narrowly and race rated well but he’d had enough on the line and Fortunate Kiss was unlucky not to beat him. Lot better suited off 35 days in a fast run 1200m race as he can over race early. Well proven at Moonee Valley and has map advantage over Angel Capital which he may need late to hold him out.

R8 n4 DESERT LIGHTNING Positive early on map from wide draw to be on speed. 2d up off 21 days and suited out to 1500m (+100m). Last start resumed off short 63-day spell off a QLD Winter carnival campaign in Group 2 Caulfield slow 6 track. Sat 3rd inside on a crawl speed tempo 3L behind leader/winner beaten 2L by Private Eye. Placed only run this track resuming in 1200m race at this meeting last year and finds the perfect race today with Luke Nolen back onboard who knows him well.

R10 n3 KING ZEPHYR Resumes off 112-day spell and two trials. Ran 2nd most recent Cranbourne 1000m G4 track Aug 25. Both his trials have been excellent. Good quality horses in top stable – total forgive run on a deteriorating track at Flemington last start. Form and figures prior to that were excellent coming through the benchmark races in style. He has huge closing speed and should run over these late and win today. Quality horse for a BM84 class race today – he is much better than this grade.

R7 n2 CEOLWULF Forward inside on map on leaders back. 2d up off 14 days well suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start resumed off 133 days Group 1 Randwick H10 track was slow away sat back last 11L off leader on a slow tempo and then rider had a brain explosion and went via the Cape on the home turn which basically cost him the race- beaten 2.5L by Via Sistina. L600m figure outstanding and his run was enormous. Proven 2nd up and loves Randwick out to 1600m. Not sure how these horses beat him today.

R9 n5 PRIVATE EYE Positive early from draw to be on speed. 21d up off 21 days drops 1.5kg and stays at 1400m. Last start resumed off 63-day break Group 2 Caulfield S6 track drew wider crossed early off a great start to lead and control on a crawl speed tempo. Race was over there early and he cruised home to win by 2L eased right down on the line with 4th fastest L200m of meeting. That race was like a barrier trial for him. Forward on map again today and is the best weighted horse here that I have seen in a very long time.

Toowoomba Meeting Selections

R7 n7 TAJALAT Tony Gollan trained mare who resumed over this course and distance but looked in need of the run when tiring late for 2d behind a handy one. Will strip much fitter this time and maps close to the speed, hard to beat.

R3 n3 IMMORTAL BLISSLast start when 2nd up at Belmont, sat back off midfield 5L off leader on a crawl speed tempo and charged late to win by 0.5L from Snow God (talented and won since). Race rated well off that tempo and he was huge late with fastest L200m of meeting. Flying for new stable and looks better than these.
