Last start BM78 Doomben G4 when deeper into prep sat back 8th inside 6L off leader/winner on an even tempo and was then held up on turn locked away with nowhere to go until the 150m but charged late for 3rd beaten 0.9L by Zoology. Unlucky not to win there. Not a regular winner (4/21) but looks well suited now out to this distance off a very good map and proven on wet tracks.

R8 n1 METALART Midfield and outside on map. 5th up off 28 days rises 5.5kg and stays at 1200m. Last start Group 3 Eagle Farm sat back 8th inside on an even tempo 6L of leader. Did a great job from there running them all down late to win by 0.8L. Race rated highly, and he had a huge L600m closing figure. Loves Doomben proven on soft and can’t be racing any better. Looks better than these and should be winning.

R9 n2 SAVOUR THE DREAM Midfield on map. Resumes off 126-day spell and two rock solid trials. Won most recent 1200m Deagon July 8 under zero pressure late. Lightly raced and talented colt with good fresh stats and resuming at 1350m is a real sign of intent by stable. Loves Doomben and proven on Soft and might just be too good for these. Market closer to race will be key indicator but he is a well above average horse.

Last start on debut F&M Maiden Gosford S6 track drew inside led and controlled on a fast tempo and bolted away late winning by 3.2L in a high rating race. She closed off there with 2nd fastest L200m of meeting and was never let go by rider. Looks a very talented filly and map suits this tempo.

R3 n6 IN SUMMER Maps 3 pairs back inside, 3rd up off 14 days out to 1800m (+200m). Last start Highway Randwick S5 track 57kg when 2nd up drew outside sat back last 9L off leader on a slow tempo. She had no chance of winning from there but ran home powerfully late in on-speed race for 3rd beaten 1.5L by Pensativa who was on speed. Proven on soft and out to 1800m should suit, is a different horse off faster early tempos. Maps a lot better today and keen she wins.

R6 n5 SHE’S UNUSUAL Forward inside early to lead. 4th up off 35 days rises 1kg and stays at 1800m. Last start F&M BM78 Randwick S5 track was 1400-1800m off 28 days drew outside crossed and led on a crawl speed tempo and never looked like losing – winning easily by 1.7L closing off with expected fast L200m figure. Lightly raced and talented 5YO mare loves the soft and very well placed with 57.5kg staying in BM78 class today.

R10 n6 PUNTIN Positive early on map from wide draw to be on speed. 4th up off 14 days and out to 1800m (+200m). Last start BM78 Randwick S5 track was slow away sat 6th inside 6L off leader/winner on a fast tempo. Had to be rails in run on speed at that meeting. He ran home hard late for 21d beaten 0.8L by Oh Diamond Lil. Race only rated fairly but he had a race dominant closing figure which sets him up well leading today out to 1800m off this tempo.

Last start Flemington S5 track was 2000-2500m drew outside went forward early on a very slow tempo 3L off leader but was then shuffled back through field inside to MF 5L off and then badly blocked on turn and had to weave through late for an unlucky 2nd beaten on the line by Shockletz who had the momentum out wider. He had race fastest L200 and suited today off this map and loves the wet.

R6 n7 SAVAGERY VIBE Midfield and outside – suited there this tempo. 5th up off 21 days and stays at 1100m. Last start F&M BM78 Rosehill stayed at 1100m 54kg sat back 6th inside 4L off leader on a crawl speed tempo and was locked away with nowhere to go. She really flattened out late when clear charging to line for 2nd narrowly beaten by Hi Dubai who led and controlled. L400m figure there was huge. Was excellent late the start prior behind She’s An Artist. Very positive riding change today, map suits and loves the wet. Keen she wins.

Race rated plainly but his closing figures were very strong. Has won at Eagle Farm gets a very positive riding change and draws a barrier for first time in his career. Placed twice on Soft, should run over these late and win – decent horse.

R9 n7 CASPERNOVA Positive early from awkward draw to be MF outside. 3a up off 14 days rises 1.5kg and stays at 1200m. Last start Prov Final Sun Coast when 2a up sat back 5th inside 5L off leader/winner on a very fast tempo and ran home late for 2’d beaten 1.4L by King Yoshi who led and controlled. Race rated strongly and he closed off well off that tempo. He will need a good ride early to get over behind lead group with cover but really like him back to Eagle Farm 1200m 3rd up. He is better than these horses and a soft track is a bonus for him.

Resumes off 175-day spell with two trials, ran 3rd in most recent 900m Canberra July 4 closing off strongly late. Lot better than Highway class and 1100m here off this map fresh with positive gear changes is perfect. J Parr has first ride.

R5 n5 SPYWIRE Positive early on map 3 pairs back outside and suited there late. 2′ up off 21 days drops 2.5kg out to 1200m (+100m). Resumed GELDED off 154-day spell 3YO BM72 Rosehill sat 4th inside 3L off leader on an even tempo and was then held up in restricted room until the 100m and charged late for 2rd beaten 0.4L by Kings Secret (won well since). Race rated best of meeting and his L200m figure there was excellent off that tempo. Sets up well today out to 1200m of this map.

R9 n1 ROBUSTO Forward early behind leaders and very well placed there. 3rd up off 14 days and well suited out to 1500m (+100m). Last start Listed Rosehill S7 track sat back 6th inside 5L off leader/winner on an even tempo and was then held up most of straight and only got clear late running 21d to Estadio Mestalla. Race rated ok and he closed off strongly L200m. Could argue that he should have won that race with clear run home. Maps great here and like him back onto a dryer track, looks the winner.

R10 n6 KING OF ROSEAU Back off MF on map. 6th up off 35 days and ran 2rd recent 1050m trial Randwick July 11-he was strong late in that trial. Last start BM78 Rosehill S5 track finally found a race with a fast early tempo-sat back 9L off leader with winkers on again and charged home late to win (was held up in straight) impressively by 1.4L. Race rated strongly and his closing figures were outstanding off that tempo. Not a regular winner (2/16) but has had genuine excuses in some of his losses. Gelded now and will need clear air in the straight but has enormous closing speed and sets up very well today.

R3 n4 EM SIXTY MF and inside on map. 6th up off 20 days drops 2.5kg out to 1700m (+100m). Last start BM64 Ballarat S7 track sat in 1/1 2L off leader on a very slow tempo and put them to the sword late winning by 2.8L when heavily backed late. He had a completely dominant meeting best L400m figure from there- he looked super impressive. He did the exact same winning maiden at Swan Hill start prior. Winkers went on last two runs out to 1600m on S7 tracks and looks ready to come to City class today on the big track. Really promising young stayer.

R7 n14 MUKTAMIL Positive early to be behind lead group. Deeper into prep off 28 days and looks suited out to 2800m (+260m). Last start Open Flemington sat back off MF early 8L off leader on a fast tempo and charged late to almost win running 2d beaten 0.5L by Bold Soul. Race rated highly and his L200m figure thee off that tempo was high class. Off 28 days is slight concern but so well suited out to 2800m and gets Craig Williams to ride.

R8 n7 SAYEDATY SADATY Forward early to be in lead group and suited there. 4th up off 21 days rises 4.5kg and stays at 2000m. Last start Open Caulfield S6 track drew inside sat 2d early on a fast tempo and he never ever looked like losing there, winning softly on the line by 1.8L. Race rated highly and the margins were good behind him- he spread that field right out late. Very positive riding change today and rolls forward on speed again and should love Flemington.

Loves the wet and 1100m, proven 2d up and sets up well today back to F&M class race.

Race rated strongly. Jockey has 2d ride on him today which is a big tick and races well this track. Loves the wet and gets blinkers on first time which is a great gear change for him. Last start when 2nd up out to 1400m started poorly and lost ground sat back off MF and inside 8L off leader on an extremely fast tempo. He ran home strongly late for 2nd from there beaten 1.8L By Magnaspin. Race rated through the roof off that tempo. He was very good there off a bad start. Lightly raced 4YO has some quality about him and staying at 1400m off 28 days looks ideal. C Williams getting back on him is a plus and he will be forward on an average tempo.

Race rated ok but there was real quality in his L200m figure with 5th fastest of the meeting. Good horse maps well again today and keen he wins.

Quality horse, race rated strongly and his L200m figure there off that tempo was outstanding. Maps to do the same today with 53kg and keen he wins.

Last start Group 1 Doomben drew outside sat back last 14L off leader and was on behind Antino there but couldn’t sprint with him when he made a mid-race move running 2a beaten 4L. He had almost identical L400m figures to Antino but was left a bit flat footed mid race when Antino made his move. There is no Antino in this field and he destroyed a similar field in this race last year. Out to 2200m in the small field-he should round this lot up in the straight and win.

Ran on strongly late for 2nd to Ahha Ahha beaten 3L. Race rated highly and her L400m figure off that tempo was excellent. No luck now her last two starts behind two talented winners. Maps to run home over the top of these in straight.

Last start 3YOF BM78 this track sat 4th early in good spot on a very fast tempo and exploded late to win impressively by 3L. Her closing figure there off that tempo was best of the meeting. Excellent effort and has always had ability. Loses J Melham but gets big weight drop with claim and be too strong late again and win.

Last start BM84 Caulfield sat way back early 12th on an even tempo and charged home late to just miss when 2nd to Namesake. Race rated strongly and he closed off with 11th fastest L200m of the meeting. He was off 35 days there but back to BM74 class suits out to 1400m -he was very strong L600m last run. Map suits and looks winner.

She charged late with a dominant close to run 3rd beaten 0.7L. Clearly should have won there and much better suited today around a bend staying at 1000m, keen she wins.

R4 n7 FIRST ENCOUNTER 3rd up now and ready to win. Last start Northam got back to near last on a very slow tempo and charged home late with a dominant L600m figure to run 2nd beaten 1.8L by Madame Magic. He gets back on map again today but can get to the outside here which suits this track and run over these late, loves the soft and looks well suited.

R6 n8 MY SHIRATAKU 3rd up out to 1400m off two excellent wins this prep. Last start Pinjarra led and controlled on a very slow tempo winning easily by 3L. That was a replica of his maiden win and while he draws wide today, Pike will let him roll forward early and he should control race from there either leading or outside lead. Big strong untapped 3YO in leading stable, first run on soft track today but this race lacks depth and can win again.

Both runs this prep have been excellent, is proven on soft and could get the back of Oh Too Good in the run here.

Last start Sandown H drew inside (unsuited) sat MF inside 6L off leader/winner on an even tempo and was held up there most of straight and went to the line unextended in a complete forgive run. Start prior was enormous winning at Warrnambool from the back off a very slow tempo against the pattern on a completely biased track. He was outstanding late there. Proven on soft and he will launch late here.

Race rated best of meeting which is rare air for a 2YO Maiden. He closed off with an excellent L400m figure off that tempo which was a sign of genuine quality. Proven on S7 track.

Last start FM BM78 Randwick H9 track drew outside sat back gth and wide (suited that track by this race) 6L off leader on a fast tempo and ran home powerfully late out near outside fence to win impressively by 1.2L. She closed off with a really strong L400m figure there for the meeting off that tempo. Out to 1600m off that looks ideal and has plenty in her favour here to win again and her rider is in the zone.

His L600m figure there was outstanding. Quality 3YO with an inside draw/map here which is not ideal but jockey is in great form. Better than these horses and can run over the top late and win.

Good quality filly suited out to 1600m today who will have to come from back well back on map.

She is just better than these horses and will win in better class races than today.
